I am concerned that we don't have our bevvy of blue chippers yet. I mean we ARE CU
To be honest, I am a bit concerned there are no kicker commits on the horizon. Pretty sure you are supposed to sign at least one every year.
Other than OL, not a lot of worries so far. Would like to see some DB's.
Is this a serious thread?
serious as a heart attack. FACT.
texas has almost 2x the number of commits we do.
Cal only has 3.. So no, I'm not concerned. Although I don't think we'll see many blue chippers, if any.
Jenga DOOOOOOOOM thread. FACT!
I'm just glad I probably won't have to read anything about "late bloomer", "diamond in the rough", "very under-rated" for every one of our commits.....certainly all for going out on a limb for a few if we have open spots towards the end of the year, but not making a living off of it as the past regime did
I kind of miss hearing how our recruits have firm handshakes and twinkles in their eyes.....
Probably like you miss genital herpes.
We have 10 commits but how many lunch pails?
now lets get Yuri Wright and some OL guys
Cal or Texas which 5-7 team would rather aspire to be?
We already have one blue chipper, and I think we stand a decent chance at landing another in Wright. We might not land as many blue chippers, but I think this is lining up to be the best class we've brought in since the 2008 class that was top 15.
I remember the first year I was on here and just lurking, it was these types of threads that really did it for me. People kept posting threads with titles "Only 2 commits so far". What was funny was that BB would get annoyed as hell and that year there ended up being a commit soon after each one. There was some great reverse mojo working, I was laughing my ass off reading them, and that series of threads was probably what made me join AllBuffs.
Weird. I always thought it was your love affair with Rugged's penis.
Unfortunately, Rugged did try to convince me that loving his penis was part of the hazing process for new members. It was a good thing you got jealous and broke that ish up.
Nah, must have been loblaw. I'm a sharer.
Move to Barzil under "This is disturbing." ??
can't really expect a plethora of commitments on an unproven coaches first year no matter how excited he gets everyone. Seeing him coach is going to seal the deal and turn some heads (hopefully commits to other teams)
Those threads were pretty entertaining...
Those were the days. Between those threads and arguing with assholes about Cody Hawkins being a good QB, I was busy.
He was an Elite 11 QB who defeated Colt McCoy in an accuracy contest.
I had some fun with you on that one, too. :smile2:
cody must have thrown for eleventy-billion yards and 3 dozen tds so far in the world football whatever the **** you call it championships--- i haven't actually looked up his stats, just saw the scores that usa is putting up. rather than establishing his qb greatness, however, i think it more likely speaks to (a) whomever coaches this ridiculous thing is undoubtedly more talented than juicebox and (b) the competition is worse than d2 levels here in the us.
I was a concerned we weren't going to see much until the season started. I figured most recruits would take a wait and see attitude.
I'm not ashamed to admit I've been pleasantly surprised with what the last three weeks has brought and I feel like we have a solid foundation going into the fall. And I'm not sure we are done yet this summer.
I still believe we can get some more "bluechippers" if we can demonstrate some solid evidence that Embree and his staff are going to get this program going the right direction again. The program has a great history, fine academics, one of the best locations in the whole U.S. of A and is clean right now (as far as we know). All these facts will add up for some great players if we can be competitive.
