The Colorado Air National Guard flies F16s.
Are there any F18 squadrons in Colorado?
Dunno, but they were definitely F-18s. Very low, too. I hope nobody gets in trouble for the low flyover. It was awesome!

A couple Navy pilots got permanently grounded for a low flyover at Ga Tech last year. Hopefully this does not happen again. The guys yesterday were damn low.

This A10 flyover at Aggieland looks every bit as low as those at GT and CU, if not lower.

He came in from over Longmont, and just as they kicked into afterburner, some jack-ass in a Cessna fromt he Longmont airport who hadn't radioed in flew in front of them and they had to break off and regroup.
Just curious but who was the jackass in the Cessna supposed to be talking to? Longmont is an uncontrolled class G airport with no tower. Do the flyovers use the Boulder and Longmont CTAFs?
Can you imagine being that Cessna pilot, looking up and seeing three fighter jets screaming at you. :scared2:
Do you know if Rocky Flats is still restricted air space? Sitting on the front porch Friday and we see a small plane flying north receive a rendezvous from an F-16 who intercepted, escorted then pealed back to Buckley. Really cool and a bit scary. At those kinds of closure speeds I doubt he would have even seen them. Prolly sh!t his pants when he was startled by the thrust noise after they passed him by.
check out this video of a flyover at a TCU vs Navy game. The plane is literally in the stadium - watch it, you wont be disappointed.

Didn't think about Jeffco. It was further east, over Wadsworth.Looks like Rocky Flats is pretty close to Jeffco's Class D controlled airspace (I'm not totally sure of the spatial relation between the two) but I don't see anything on the Denver TAC on skyvector.com in that area that specifically covers Rocky Flats...

I'll add this one in to complement Miami's videos.

a video for those that want to see what it looks like from inside the jet with your eyes closed (over the desert east of fallon, nv).
