Posting Description Under the general direction of the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, this position provides broad professional level support and is responsible to act as a direct liaison between numerous constituent groups associated with the administration of the Athletic Department. This position supervises selected sport programs, which may include football operations, and special projects as assigned by the Athletic Director. This position serves on the Senior Staff and may represent the Athletic Director in their absence.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adminstrative/Supervision
Advises the Athletic Director in all matters pertaining to internal operations within the Athletic Department including strategic planning and selected program oversight. Includes monitoring of compliance and integration to Athletic Department, University, State, and Pac-12 Conference policies and procedures.
Researches, studies and analyzes Athletic Department operations including matters related to coaches' contracts and human resources. Prepares detailed and comprehensive reports of findings, provides recommendations, and implements procedural or policy changes.
Promotes effective communication with numerous constituent groups both internally and externally to the Athletic Department. Acts as a liaison with University Counsel, campus and University administration, Board of Regents, and Pac-12 Conference administration.
Manages agreements with media rights holder and related partners to include TV, radio, and other revenue producing entities.
Participates in financial and capital planning deliberations.
Plans, programs, and executes initiatives and special projects directed by the Athletic Director. Ensures that all special projects are actively moving forward by monitoring assigned personnel and programs including: facility upgrades, integration with various campus organizations, and customer service initiatives.
University & Community Relations
Interprets and communicates decisions and policies of the Athletic Director as appropriate to user groups that need assistance, support, or visionary leadership.
Provides campus outreach and actively interacts to resolve problems addressed to the Athletic Director from all elements of the University of Colorado including: the CU Board of Regents, CU System Office (including the President's office), Boulder Faculty Assembly, Schools and Colleges, UCSU, CU Foundation, students, student-athletes, and faculty and staff.
Represents the Athletic Director in his/her absence as a representative to the Board of Regents or CU System Office, Serves as a point of contact for campus faculty, staff and students as well as staff and administration.

Required Education/Experience/Skills (Minimum Qualifications) - Bachelor's Degree
- 5 years management experience in professional or collegiate athletics
- Demonstrated experience in contract review and negotiation
Required Competencies:
- Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally
- Strong interpersonal and human relation skills
- Ability to plan and organize multiple projects or tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
- Sensitivity to and ability to work collaboratively in a multi-cultural University environment
- Analytical abilities and skills to address complex problems, issues, or projects including formulating and implementing resolution plans
- Ability to effectively lead and manage a work group, staff members, and committees
Desired qualifications - Masters Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or Sports Administration/ Management
- 6-10 years senior management in professional or collegiate athletic
