Joshua Tupou, CU Buffs lineman, facing assault charges in University Hill brawl

No sorry typo, I had a few seizures sorry I'm human. Sorry to disappoint u. They didn't diagnose me with anything.

I only take a pill if I need to, my aunt died that way. Appreciate you saying you'd give a rat's ass.

Captain Obvious here.

This started as a discussion of Josh Tupou getting charged for assault. Then the discussion turned to why Josh's assault charges are bogus.

Now we are threatening violence amongst ourselves.

Allbuffs high road for the win.

I think tini has built up so much ill will with numerous members that he now tends to rub people the wrong way even if he isn't necessarily doing anything really wrong. Of course he still does plenty to deserve his reputation.

Then some folks just need chillin'..........................

Too many here think their sh*t doesn't stink!

For the purposes of this gif... Tini is Mario Lopez...

At least one poster in this thread needs to man up and admit tini was right.

It's early, but broken bones in someones face doesn't sound like a whole lot of nothing.

Voice of experience? Do we want to know?

Also, sounds like Tetrault would be used to having his nose broken by now. Why do people invite him to parties? Why does he always seem to be on the receiving end of the nose-breaker? Can someone have a glass nose? Someone get us the rest of the story.

Ouch. Sounds like a significant suspension

Not the nature of a message board but probably a pretty good idea.

Hope for the best prepare for the worst then realize we are CU.

One thing that you seem to be overlooking is the hostility that the Boulder DA's office has traditionally had against CU football players. They do not want to be perceived as giving preferential treatment, which usually manifests itself as meting out tough treatment.

Just to be clear this did not take a month to go public. Link - it was reported from the beginning that FB players were involved.

There were no suspects at the scene which resulted in an investigation which included witnesses picking out the suspects from a photo lineup. These things take time.

Insisting it is not a big deal does actually mean it is not a big deal. It is because there are two separate systems that have jurisdiction over this - the Boulder DA and the campus Student code of conduct. You have to fight the battle on two fronts. Tupou was in a fight and someone was injured - from a legal standpoint he is not going to get off - it will either be felony or a misdemeanor. Best case scenario is that he will be able to plead it out as a misdemeanor but it is highly unlikely the DA will drop the charges.

The student code of conduct states

So we had better hope that mitigating factors are present. But to say it is no big deal is not realistic. Charges have been filed and processes have started. Anyone with experience in these matters will tell you these can be highly unpredictable because you never know how the key players involved will react or what agendas are driving them.

Dude you need to learn a little about life, if course the guy he's paying to defend him said that, it is what he's paid to say. Good news will be:
- when this is actually dropped
- if he survives CU's kangaroo student discipline court.
The latter is a much larger concern to fans older than you because we recall losing Michael Sipili for an entire season because the CU Judicial Affairs board suspended him from school even after the DA plea bargained his assault case down due to spotty evidence. Which by the way is something that it is very possible Tupou cops to unless the evidence is really spotty.

Your constant attitude like you know something here, the only difference in the 2 articles is that his paid advocated said exactly what he'd be paid to say. You constantly proclaim things like you have inside knowledge or some experience set that gives you more knowledge than others, when in reality you dont know **** and are too blind to see it - as proved by this:

Sip got in a fight it was plea bargained down due to conflicting reports but CU still suspended him making him ineligible to play football, this is a very real possibility for Josh. It also surprised both coach and AD who would have been, like Mac and RG are, confident they have handled this:

So yes the parallels are there your evidence that the leaders invovled are confident can be misplaced, your quote from his lawyer is pointless, so stop acting like you know something. You *may* be right, you may be wrong, what we know right now is that we dont know **** and this won't be closed until Josh is cleared by CU & the Popo.
.....well
