My wife asked me if I wanted to go to the nebraska game this year.
Okay, I asked her if I could go, and then she looked up ticket prices and said if I thought I could get this done on an $1100 budget than go for it, but it would be my Christmas and Birthday gifts this year.
So what do you guys/gals think.
Here are the reasons to go:
-A chance to watch CU football live this season. I'll miss next season too, since I'll be in Afghanistan for the football season.
-The last Big 12 game for nebraska, and possibly for CU. The end of an era/pseudo rivalry. While CU isn't really projected to be in that game, on September first, I'd like to believe (hope) that we could spoil their departure.
Reasons not to go:
-I've been to lincoln. I'd hate to waste a rare trip to the U.S. on that ****hole. And while the Memorial Stadium Sea of Red experience is impressive on some levels, it still looks like a Soviet Era inspired chunk of concrete in the middle of the wind swept prairie. Plus last time I attended a game there, visitors were given ****ty seats.
-I was hoping for a pair of new waders for Christmas and a new reel to compliment my bamboo rod for my birthday.
-I don't want to be absent from my family for two Thanksgivings in a row.
-My dirty little secret is that I kind of like watching football on TV. I see a lot more than I do in person, but of course miss out on the atmosphere. This is one of the CU games that should be televised here.
Wish this thing was in Boulder.
