i think this is what the rumored announcement was supposedly about on 10/26I'd love to be wrong but don't see how Talkins gets canned when Cody now
takes over the next five games for medial reasons.
I still think CU should announce that Danny won't be returning but can coach out
the remaining regular season.

Why does Cody playing QB change anything about whether or not you fire Dan? This argument makes no sense. In fact, if Cody has such a good grasp of the offense, it makes the transition easier. What's Cody going to do, sabotage games? If that's the case, bench him and run wildcat with Jefferson or Patterson for the rest of the year.
I would have no problem with this, provided we change coaches first.Awesome! Our remaning QB's suck so bad that we will just run wildcat the rest of the season and not have a QB.

Didn't Washington do that with Ty Willingham... announce that he would finish the season but would not be back?
fwiw, Washington ended up with the 2nd worst recruiting class in the Pac-10 that year. They were outside the national top 50 and the only 4* they signed was a juco (and juco 4*s are not the same caliber as high school 4*s).
do you see our class not finished dead last in the Big 12 this year?
hey.... I don't like the situation but think Hanson's injury really screws thing up even more....
I wonder if Bohn has a clue.
I dislike the concept of having a lame duck finish out the season.
Disrupts recruiting, makes you distrust decisions (every redshirt burned, necessary or not, will appear to be screwing the program), and puts the players in limbo.
If you were firing an employee for cause, would you let him or her hang around and run the company for two more months? Didn't think so.
So I don't know what they could be announcing.
awkward position CU is in.
"There are a lot of people out there talking and a lot of people who say different stuff," Cody Hawkins said. "But the same bad things you say about our football team, I'm saying the same bad things about you guys (the media). So I guess it works both ways."
You can defend him all you want, but the fact remains that CU may or may not be better if we put Boulder High's current quarterback on the field next Saturday. Cody is one of the worst quarterbacks in the history of college football, and he has the balls to call out the fans. I am done making excuses for him. He is a douchebag and he sucks at football. There is nothing to like.
His play has been a national embarrassment for four years.
