Official CU Head Coach Search Thread - Primetime

WKU fans have nothing good to say about the two year Sanford run. He came on the heels of the Petrino and Brohm tenures and ran them into the ground. I really hope CU does not do the lazy thing and just elevate the interim. Even if they manage to win a couple of games down the stretch, CU can do better.
They ****ing better not.

If they hire Sanford I’m going to need to search for completely new tranches of more hideous gifs. It’s a challenge I don’t need.

Not a good human being. I don't wish him any luck going forward. Glad he's gone.

Are we really in a position to be critical of a coach who may not be a “certified home run like a Chris Petersen”? Is that really the bar we’re setting for this hire?

And if trajectory is your barometer then Iowa State may not be the best example at the moment.
I would say since Herman would be paid like a home run, we need to be aware that he may be as much of a risk as a less known guy.

Iowa State is having an off year. Very difficult to recruit there compared to CU. But 3-2 with one score losses to ranked teams. I think that translates real well at Texas (or Boulder).

edit: I am not saying we shouldn’t take him. I just think his price tag is so high that if he failed we’d never get someone else here. He’s not Jimbo Fisher overpaid levels but I think aTm thought they were getting a slam dunk and there were similar warning flags to me. More so with Jimbo.
So just encouraging an eyes wide open approach even to superstar names.
