Official CU vs. UCLA 10/28/23 Game Thread

Prime, 2 and 12 are nice but the rest of this staff and roster are JV at best.

This is NFL but obviously similar concept

If you want to use eye test, Brock Purdy this year (y)
Doesn’t apply to college. In NFL, player skill level much too similar across teams, so major mistakes occur less frequently.

The Stanford game is just a real killer for this season. Up 29-0 and blow it. I think it will be pretty tough for the team to come back from that.

But - the whole "Coach Prime to the NFL" talk has pretty much died, now. He's got his work cut out for him this offseason.

Thanks.

So our OL can’t block long enough for any mid or deep routes to develop and the defense just sits on quick game.

Honestly not sure where they go from here. Double TE formations with a RB also staying in to block and hope that our WRs can win one on ones?

This is textbook example of why WRs and RBs literally don’t matter if you don’t have the OL/DL taken care of

Have to be able to block in order to be competitive.
Yes, but they are asking for man-on-man battles to be won in the second half of a winnable game that has proven not to be able to happen.
Every OL guy needs help, you HAVE to give them help, chip, double teams, motion, move the pocket, anything
We know they cannot block alone, so help them out or GTFO

Ok I'm no paid O coordinator but if you have 3/4 the front seven off the line maybe try running? Just spit balling here

All the bitching and moaning here is getting really old. I know we’re all frustrated, but come on! We ginned an entire team together in 4 months.
