We have a huge number of visitors between this week, last week and next week. Several of those have high interest in us. So how many more spots do we estimate are available? And do gray shirts count against the limit?

Lame Duck man. Right your congressman.
Write. I went to CU.
What are you doing about this stock market crash? You need to nuke the Saudi oil fields to cut production,We have a huge number of visitors between this week, last week and next week. Probably in between there 15 or 16 is more likely.I cannot see 18, unless you are counting Davis Webb and Sheriron Jones in that number.
To really answer your question, a lot of factors in play. One, how many will grayshirt? Two, how many are leaving? Three, who is getting the extra spot and is he better than the guy ur giving room for? If I had to guess, I'd say 15 to 18. Not to be a dick, I'm all for a kid trying to get his degree, it's just you only have so many spots. Getting rid of someone is how it works. If you help them find a place, I'm cool with it. Of course, all situations are different and that's on the staff to ascertain.
And Wantanabe.85 scholarships allowed for football in total
25 scholarships allowed for football in a signing class
Grayshirts can either be counted into the current year or next year (they arrive on campus the following January)
CU had 9 scholarship seniors graduate, with Walker and Wilson the only announced attrition that I'm aware of
So CU has 11 scholarship openings for this class (as far as we know).
Sheriron Jones and Kabion Ento have already transferred into CU (enrolled). Josh Tupou expected back.
Chatter seems to be that around 15 will sign on LOI Day.
A scholarship is a contract. If a kid is doing his part do get better in the weight room, film room and on the practice field I can't see pushing him out even if he is not a major contributor as it would set the wrong tone within the program. On the other hand if a kid is coasting and not doing what it takes to improve then he is not living up to his end of the deal, move 'em out. Rippy and Wright come to mind.
True but it's yearly. You are thinking from a moral standpoint, it's a business. If you don't think that, I don't know what to tell you. You win or pack your bags. I know Texas high schools that give less leash than Mac has. It's all about earning your pay.A scholarship is a contract. Are you saying ethics don't have a place in business? Ethics should matter everywhere. Outing a kid who is living up to his end of the deal is not good for anyone including the football team. Unethical treatment of the student athletes gets back to parents and HS coaches and it has long term negative effects on the program. By the same token, if they are freeloaders....get'em out.
Don't disagree. But, we need immediate help and if we can get it with a couple JUCOs or immediate impact freshman you say sorry or grayshirt a guy over telling a better player no thanks.Pushing up to five players to grayshirt would be dumb.

We have been surviving for 10 years. If a guy that is in on us late due to the addition of DChev, you don't turn him down if he is much better than some of these guys who have no legit P5 offers. You can satisfy those goals via normal attrition. All adding to the grayshirt numbers does is to affect the next class negatively. Outside of one of the two JUCO WRs, Webb, and one of the high school LBs, we can survive without the others.
