Wow.... Signs are all over the wall about this staffs recruiting abilities . He [Reinkensmeyer] may not be a game changer but keeping CO kids home needs to start happening. The staff has improved but still to many misses , IMO.

How has the staff "improved" keeping local kids at home? This year may be the worst in decades at keeping local kids at home. I see 1 maybe 2 Colorado kids (Roberts & Pannunzio) staying home for college this year and none of them are in the top 5.

He didn't ignore them, he just pissed them off with his "strategy"Embree completely neglected the CO kids and high school coaches around the area hated him. It's everything MM and staff can do just to rebuild those relationships.
Why are you ignoring last years class?

You mean the 4 CO recruits we got last year, of which, only 1 could have gone to another P5 school? Yeah, I didn't forget about last year. It's just this year is much worse than last year. Hence, why I was wondering why someone thought we are improving on in state recruiting.
And I mean quality and quantity. The last several years, most CO kids that could go elsewhere in a P5 school, have done so.
You should listen to TScheckler on this one.He didn't ignore them, he just pissed them off with his "strategy"
nice freakin post. I agreeI have been a critic of in-state recruiting. The 2012 class made me downright angry and as I mentioned in barzil losing guys like Jones and Risner doesn't make me happy.
With that in mind I am also not a fan of recruiting Colorado kids just because they are Colorado kids. In most years Colorado has maybe 4-6 kids who would be in the top 150-200 in a state like California, Texas, or Florida. it's not unusual that the 10th kid in Colorado is an FBS level player.
We have to get our share of the top Colorado talent but are never going to be able to get all of the top kids just like some of the top kids from a lot of states go elsewhere. We can't be taking MWC level kids just to have CO kids on the roster.

Two current players were flat out ignored by Embree, but believe what you want. You think they ignored the state? Having a hard time believing thatSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Looking at the top 5...
-Lee was ALWAYS NU bound. We never had a shot
-We never offered Avery Anderson
-Lynott doesn't need much explanation
-Middlemiss committed in April, hated the recruiting process, and is a big CU fan
-Umu had academic concerns and didn't take off until after his senior season
I'm not sure what to tell you. Colorado isn't a deep state for talent, and the 2016 is weak to.

Moeller and Coleman. And those players are....?
Moeller and Coleman.
Good stuff there MtnBuff, but you're overestimating Lee Sr.'s impact on Domann's decision IMO
Can we get Trump to build a wall between Colorado and Nebraska?
Negative freaking b!tche$. This staff is trying to get every one of the top guys and pushing on all of them. Is it their fault they can't sell every kid that wants to go to another school that has been more successful the past decade or offers them a chance to get away from home and grow up on their own. Staying in-state isn't for everyone but we hear this **** yearly. This staff has been the best at getting around the state and showing they care to get the best players they can from here.
Moeller and Coleman.
The best since when? Ever?
I never thought I'd long for the days when Hawk was pulling in the top CO recruits.
