Top Tier Defensive Tackles

1) Lausii Sewell-
Best known as "Boogie", the Desert Hills defensive tackle is nearly unblockable in the trenches. Sewell stands at 6' 315 pounds, and his height may scare teams away, but he is a rottweiler at the line of scrimmage. Sewell was the most impressive nose tackle at All-Poly and it wasn't very close. He can eat a lot of space and allow linebackers to make plays, but Sewell himself is very capable of making plays in the backfield. If he was 3 inches taller he'd have 25 offers. Somebody is going to steal a good defensive tackle in Boogie Sewell.

Hat tip to Kyle McCall for finding this. Dude is on top of things. I looked through Boogie's twitter history and KyleM started following the same day that Coach Mac did. Doin' work!!!

Based on that tweet, there's another offer that I haven't been able to find.

You guys are going to like the highlights. In fact, when we use "high motor" from now on, we should probably link his highlights. Love this kid.

Flashes of the Rabid Goldfish in my mind (Boogie also plays some FB).

Looks like he'll have his pick of schools this spring.

We'll just need to keep digging to get his signature.

He is made of brick. The pit bull description is an apt one. Amazing he can carry 315 pounds on a 6 foot frame and not look like a marshmallow.

And when he puts heat on the opposing qb we could call that "Boogie Fever".

(someone will have that song stuck in their mind for the rest of the afternoon)

Q: How does Mr Sewell make a Kleenex dance?

A: He blows a little boogie in it.

Boogie. Boogie down Baby! Boooooo. Oooogie. Boogie down Baby!

i want this guy to pound our adversaries! Be a Buff! Pls.

Shocking, an allbuffs thread degenerating into a string of puns and childish jokes.

I'd love to see this kid commit though. Having a guy who can control the middle of the LOS frees you up to do a lot more with the rest of the defense.

I love how active he is.

As much talent as we see every year, we don't look at a lot of film where the player is truly disruptive to what the other team is trying to accomplish. Boogie's the kind of guy who has the opposing OC pulling his hair out.

Knock knock...

Kidding aside you guys are right. We could really use a big, disruptive kid with a serious motor on our line. I'd be happy to have this guy.

I guess written offers were able to go out on August 1st.

Here's Boogie's:

Probably a good sign that he added the Pac-12 hashtag.
