So I'm assuming he'll be in the 2016 class by this tweet, but I'm still trying to find info on this.

Deleon Brown
Grand Rapids Christian
Brown, a 6-foot-3 junior forward, averaged 20.3 points a game for the Eagles, and he shot 80 percent from the free throw line and 38 percent from 3-point range. Highlights included a 31-point performance in Christian’s 68-62 win against East Grand Rapids on Feb. 4. OK White Conference rival coach Todd Bloemers wrote that when it came time to game plan against an opponent, Brown was one of the biggest challenges his team faced. But Brown’s scoring skills weren’t his only asset. Christian coach Steve Majerle described Brown as the team’s best defender. Brown earned Michigan Associated Press All-State honorable mention recognition.

Interesting - I sent this out on the twittershpere a week or two ago. But looks like Rohn was the lead recruiter on this.

2016 makes sense. Not sure where the minutes would be in 2015 (or the scholarship).

Interesting. Another lefty. He looks pretty smooth and is a good shooter... but probably not a great athlete. Confused on the year delay however

Interesting. CU is his only big time offer. His HS coach is Dan Majerle's brother. Dan is the head coach at Grand Canyon U, where Jeremy Adams went for his last year. I wonder if Tad got a hot tip?

If he's graduating in the Spring of '15, but not coming to CU until the fall of '16 perhaps he'll be attending a prep school for a season? Just a guess.

Look forward to seeing you in 2016, Deleon!

We're losing a lot of players after the 2015-16 season, so use that prep year well and be ready to ball out.

They must like him a lot if they think he is better than anyone we can get next year. Or he'll come in '15 if we don't land Dorsey

Check out this profile on Deleon from Inside Prep Sports. It's uncanny how close that is to what I would write if I was going to write a fake profile of a guard Tad is recruiting. Excellent system fit.

6'4" 2015 guard Deleon Brown (Grand Rapids Christian, MI./SYF 17u) High percentage lefty shooter off the catch or bounce, gets to his spots on the floor, improving handle, and a solid athlete with length who moves well.

Pull up game for an unheralded recruit is impressive. Solid handle & a projectable jumper. Didn't see him dunk once. Questionable explosiveness for a 6'3-6'4 guy. Post-grad yr hopefully gives him enough time to add lbs.

Glad to have him. Who knows, if he comes in 16, maybe he'll grow even more? Not that 6'4" is small or anything, just maybe he's not done growing.

Since I'm going to be talking about him for the next sixish years, I may as well get it right now.

Is it day-lee-own (like Ponce), dee-lee-on, or something else entirely?

My guess, "De-Leon" as in "The Leon"
