Official Construction Update Thread

That rooftop deck is going to be incredible. That's the kind of thing nobody else in college football has.
It will be, possibly, the nicest architectural feature in college football. It makes Folsom unique, as if it weren't already.

What is the capacity of the rooftop terrace expected to be for game day. Napkin math says this will generate $150-$200 per person over the season.

SMU wants one, too.

Is it going to be like coors where if you have a ticket to the stadium you can go to the rooftop or is it only the people that buy tickets for that section?

Better scenery in Boulder.

True. Hard to beat the flatirons.

UDub husky stadium Southwest Deck has a view of lake Washington.

CU's will be tops of any of them. Unless you enjoy the view of a flat, wide expanse of nothingness. Now, UW could compete, but they will have a lot of gray, overcast days.

Rutgers' and TCU's are like wide sidewalks. Like standing on the concourse watching the game.

I think they should put a couple of (few?) panning cams at select inside locations. All the action is there or IPF.

All it takes is being undefeated going into Oregon Week

It's going to take a little more than that.

But maybe not much more; I may have missed something when I scanned the schedule, but that particular week doesn't have a lot of competition for big games. Bama and UGA will probably get it (unless CBS has/gets the rights to this game - remember, they usually won't do gameday at a game which ABC/ESPN isn't broadcasting). After that, and as of the second week in June, the only other potentially interesting game that week is ASU and UCLA.

And keep in mind that I'm pretty sure that at 4-0, CU will be in the "others receiving votes" category of the polls (inaccurately, IMO, but you can count on a couple voters not paying a lot of attention to SOS and just voting on the record).

So, there's a chance. A very, very slim one, and it's not going to happen, but it is June, and so it is possible...

I think the only way a 4-0 CU team receives votes is if we have a margin of victory of over 20 in all games. Even then, I think that the CU brand is so diluted that ESPN would find a different host. Unfortunately for us.

No way we are receiving votes at 4-0. The combination of such a weak SOS and our recent reputation for suckiness means for us to receive votes, we're really going to have to earn it. We wont get votes just from voters being lazy.

We better receive at least 1 vote from MM, who cares if we're at the end of the list with just 1 vote point!

Are you saying a game day/time has never been changed to accommodate TV or ESPiN

I guess they could flex it to Saturday night instead of Friday if that were the case, but it's already a nationally televised game and they'd have to find another game to fill that TV spot. I just don't see it happening unless both CU and USC are undefeated and ranked in the top 5.

I think you really underestimate the laziness of reporters.

I also think you overestimate how much time/effort coaches put into the the polls, especially when it comes to teams they never play.

Hell TCU was ranked in bball early in the year after starting 13-0 or something along those lines while playing the one of the worst OOC schedules.

We will go from not receiving any votes at all at 4-0 to being ranked somewhere around 22 at 5-0.

5-0 and this place will be a freak show. And hey, if you're going to beat Oregon, this is the situation to do it. At home, with them breaking in a new quarterback. I'd give it about the same chance as the US beating the Soviets in 1980, Lake Placid. Do you believe in miracles?
