on my mobile so can't easily post the FootballScoop tweet or web post.

edit:

It seems like we have gone through enough of them at this point it should be pretty clear what we are looking for...or not looking for.

I just hope this isn't an easy scapegoat situation. I don't really have an informed opinion on Forman, so I couldn't for sure call this fishy but it does smell a bit. Time will tell I suppose.

Well well
Curious what your thoughts are besides a double well. I think it is a good move, Offensive line looked soft and weak at point of attack. Our team speed was no better than it was in 2014. We looked just there in the 4th quarter, no better than most teams when a lesser team must be better conditioned.

I feel as a S & C coach, each guy should make significant strides. I didn't see significant strides in a ton of guys. Saw it from some, but wasn't wowed. It's nice to see that they expect better.

Kind of a red flag we are seeing changes to key positions every offseason.

Definitely an acknowledgement that serious errors were made with the original staff

I think we are seeing the original plan is being abandoned. MacIntyre had requested a change in S&C after last season. I think McChesney may be the pick here. He was interviewed for a position last year but if he got the Top S&C job he may take the job. He certainly would bring some intensity and passion to the job and I think he would help the big guys with technique.

The more major changes you make to a coaching staff, the more you have to question the head guy. Nothing unfair about that IMO. Only so many more scapegoats to go around.

Other side of the coin is you have to like a guy not doubling down on stupid.

The S&C coach always gets too much blame and too much credit. I remember everyone touting Foreman when he was brought over with HCMM

That first year the drop in injuries was insane, it coincided with a guy saying his focus was to drop injuries - you have to expect a pretty positive reception to that on a message-board

I get nervous that with Walters and Foreman gone, we might not see the underperforming coaches let go. I don't know what MM's appetite for turnover is.

I thought the issue with McChesney was his business and the potential for recruiting violations if he were to join CU and have high school kids attending his strength & conditioning programs. I thought I read that he would need to divest from his business?

That was definitely written - not sure if it was conjecture or truth.

My appetite for losing FB is satisfied, thank you for asking. If Neinas remains, well, why bother...

Kind of seemed like there was a riff between Mac and Foreman last offseason. Foreman made some comments about Mac wanting "bigger and stronger" and made it seem like what Mac wanted went against Foremans plan

It seems like every coach we've had had a riff with the S&C guy unless you go all the way back to Neu and then McCartney when they had Doc.

Foreman getting let go before accepting a position with UNLV is a surprise. Hopefully, the delay with coaching upgrades are because there are s0 many interrelated factors, i.e. coordinate the hires to cover the different positions and the different recruiting areas.
Hopefully MMac is willing and able to cut out all the coaches that are not pulling their weight recruiting. It sounds like RG will let MMac make his own moves; but,
RG was Mac's recruiting Coordinator and knows what it takes to put a competitive team on the field. If MMac stands pat with a subpar recruiting staff, the leash will get much shorter for next year as it should.

Whoa.

So what percentage of MM's origin staff was any good?
Depends on who you ask. For instance, if I ask you, the answer will assuredly be 0% (including MM himself).
We ALL get it, slider. You don't like him and want him gone yesterday no matter what he does. He'll never do anything good in your eyes. Jesus, man. Did he try to become your new stepdad or something?
Yet...the people who actually make decisions disagree with your astute vision for Colorado Football. Sorry you think Rick George is not up to the job he was hired to do.
