This is turning into a big deal in a short time. It's players, coaches and some families come in.

Beyond that, committed recruits for next year's class are making an effort to attend... along with (it looks like) uncommitted recruits who are high on the Buffs.

My reading of the tea leaves is that we're going to see a lot of commitments during and soon before/after the BBQ. Only 2 weeks and change away.

We should have an annual Allbuffs BBQ contest. Give Sacky a break for one game each season. One meat per year, each entrant has to cook enough to feed 20 people a little bit each. Winner gets some giant gaudy trophy we get made (surprised recently to find out how cheap trophies are.). Losers all have to change their avatar to something awful

I would love to have an annual Allbuffs BBQ for the Spring Game. Something to think about for next year.

In!

Van Diest was on Scout yesterday looking for some Boulder sushi recommendations because they're hosting a 3* prospect who is coming in. No details.

But it really sounds like this is going to be a huge event.

On the OL, we're looking at 3 of the top prospects and could pretty much fill the class at the position other than a "best player available - take regardless of position" opportunity later in the cycle.

If they landed those three lineman, I would think they would be done on the offensive line considering there are already two greyshirts joining the teams at the same time. Also Roberts could end up at tackle too.

At least 10 of the Buffs' 14 commits will be there, and I am currently aware of six top uncommitted targets that will be in attendance. Should be even more by the end of the week... CU's staff is working hard to get as many of their top targets on campus for the event as possible.

Got a prediction on number of commits by this time next week?

Very general question to those that follow this more. Officials are paid for by the AD and cover pretty much everything. This bbq is an unofficial event, so the recruits should have to pay for everything right? This is going to sound stupid...but I thought for unofficials, the kids had to pay for even their own food. Can they even accept the brisket and rib tips at this event without paying for it???? This event sounds awesome, and I'm looking forward to seeing news after the bbq is over. However, how does this work in the cluster**** that is NCAA compliace? Are schools allowed to cover part of unofficial visits?

Don't know the rules. Clearly within compliance to have a team BBQ with unofficial visitors or they wouldn't be able to do it, though.

My m.o. on this stuff is to just let it go, don't worry about being an amateur compliance officer, and focus on other stuff.
