Lonzo Ball's dad.

Pretty abrasive personality but it looks like the kids can play. I don't see any signs of PTSD in Lonzo, but I'm not a trained expert. (joke)

Within 6 months, Lonzo will be free to tell him to pound sand if he wants.

Does Lavar Ball smoke crack cocaine?

“Back in my heyday, I would kill Michael Jordan one-on-one.’’
“I would just back (Jordan) in and lift him off the ground and call a foul every time he fouls me when I do a jump hook to the right or the left,” Ball said. “He cannot stop me one-on-one. He better make every shot ’cause he can’t go around me. He’s not fast enough. And he can only make so many shots outside before I make every bucket under the rim.”

Yeah I heard about that, I couldn't do anything but laugh. A billion dollar shoe deal with Nike too? Come the **** on though. Yeah ask for it but I doubt that's happening. The MJ **** is comical.

Jordan has invested a ton of money into Nike. Mentioning that you could beat Jordan one on one and then saying you will get a big deal from the same company? Sounds like a great business model....... o_O

Well now that we understand MJ's incompetency, I can see why Nike will be looking at switching to Lavar and his kids.

It'd be nice to see the kids, as they turn 18, kick dad to the sideline.

Lonzo has handled it very well. Lavar, not so much imho. It's calculated, I don't really doubt that so much. Your son is gonna have enough pressure as is, why add to it? I bet, behind closed doors, the son isn't happy about this. Then again, maybe he doesn't care Idk?

Omg, Barkley was on tv a bit ago. He wants to play LaVar in a one on one bball game. It was funny as hell. He said something like, I'm old and fat but no dude who averaged 2 points a game in college is gonna beat me.

For reference, Barkley averaged 28 pts and almost 12 rebounds a game that same season.

I know it's comical. After all, he can beat the best player ever in MJ. Dude just wants the notoriety for whatever reason. I would pay to watch him play Barkley though lol.

The Levar thing is tricky for me. On one hand, this is a dude who is literally doing anything and everything he can to help his kids reach their dreams. That should be commended and celebrated. On the other hand, dude, shut the **** up. At a certain point you're hurting your kids more than helping with the promotional tour.

Attention is like crack, Goose, there is not stopping it now and the media is obsessed with it too since he says such dumb ****.

That's where I am on it Fight CU. I'm glad he's proud of his kids, that's great. I just think there is more to it than that, that's unfortunate imho.

We're talking about him and them every day and on every ESPN show. In today's era of Trump and Kardashian culture, I'm forced to admit that his actions are genius. Lonzo is going to be the most well-known frosh to enter the draft since... maybe ever? That sets him up to sell a lot of shoes.

Is he really doing everything to help his kids reach their dreams? Or is he using his kids for his dreams of money? Funny the way he said he wanted a billion dollar marketing deal, "and they don't have to pay me all at once". Hmmm.

When the oldest kid gets an NBA contract, he should watch his wallet because the dad and two brothers are going to want his money. It won't end well in my opinion.

Basketball's the family business and dad is the CEO. I don't think the family is going to have any problems. Plus, it really seems like these are all good kids. Points to good parenting and that we're probably getting caught up in the public persona & hype instead of the reality of the situation.

I don't know much about the family apart from the dad's comments, but living here in the Palm Beaches has shown me a thing or two about entitled kids. Emphasizing money above all else and letting high schoolers run about in $100,000 cars usually ends poorly.
