Northern Colorado Game Week (Official Thread)

Whoa. One of the worst games I've witnessed in a while. That reminded me of a Hawkins coached team. We shot ourselves in the foot like 10 times.

Oliver. Yikes. He's obviously still really good but he got worked by multiple UNC WR's.
Secondary tanked after Moeller went out
OL still terrible but seemed better I guess
Targeting calls looked horrendous to me. Sucks we'll miss both for at least a portion of the next game.
Lindsay finally ran like a DOG again.

We lose by 14+ to UDub imo. Last year's squad wins today by at least 40

We won't miss laaguda. He will play the whole game. Mulumba will miss the first half.

I'll say it.

This team misses Jim Leavitt.
He brought intensity, passion, leadership, intention and team to more than just the D.

Likewise, senior and C leadership is just not what it was last year.

I think Adkins and Lindsay have been roommates all 4 years. If Adkins was a head case who didn't give 100%, Lindsay would have run him off

I'm not a big fan of the Greek system, but this is the most ridiculous complaint about Montez I've heard. Was anyone complaining about Eric Bieniemy when he threw up the Omega sign every time he scored a touchdown?
How about all the guys who scratch their balls - you know what that means don't you?

What a boring, uninspired, crappy, awful, poorly played, poorly coached, waste of time game that was today. Mac was dilusional after that game. "If not for the turnovers we'd have scored a couple more touchdowns and if not for penalties we would've scored a couple more and we gave 'em a couple of touchdowns because of penalties." So, according to Mac we should've won 69-7. Sheesh!

Either Mac has improved his poker face or we are freaking out too much. If you look at the stats it would seem like we dominated them. Watching the game live was brutal. Kind of interesting.

Guaranteed Mac and the staff are less than thrilled with the performances over the last few weeks and will be letting the kids know what can happen to them if they bring that Charmin stuff to conference play. @Uncle Luko is right, Mac is just giving the typical media coach-speak.

It didn't show up on the scoreboard today and it was frustrating as hell to watch, but I think the team got better this week.

I have zero problem with how Mac handled it. **** the media, he doesn't owe them a damn thing. He can say what he needs to behind closed doors.

This might be the wisest thing you've said on here. It does no good to go on and on about how poorly we played to the media. They'll go through every play on film and will address every issue I'm sure, probably multiple times. Anybody who has a problem with it doesn't understand the importance of needing a positive, professional relationship with his players instead of just throwing them under the bus at the first sign of struggle.
