this guy is a joke of a coach. you don't say "quit" on a football field.

what is this saying to our players? "sorry Jordan, but the fans are
too mean for you to finish your college career. hit the showers."

And to say you will surrender to the most hated school on the schedule
is just despicable. ITS NEBRASKA!!! the most obnoxious group of
visitors that Folsum Field sees. the last time these people came to
Boulder it was the most hostile bed of hatred short of Baghdad.

Dan Hawkins has never seen a game against nu in Folsum, he's never
seen how these people act, and how many of them come into our own
house and act that way. he doesn't know.

The man can't coach his way to a winning season and yet he still
manages to judge everyone else based on what he never saw? to hell
with him. he can take all of his cute sayings and his white flag and
go back to the wac.

neg rep me all you want but Hawkins is not good for this program. all he can do is talk. he gets out coached constantly. several losses this year are squarly on his and his staff's shoulders. but he keeps charming people with his little quibs.

we are witnessing the second comming of Rick Neuhiesl

Several? Which losses are you talking about?

Dan Hawkins has never seen a game against nu in Folsom, he's never

Yeah, because it was the NU student section that was removed from the stadium in Boulder two years ago!!

The Huskers finished their scoring with a 32-yard field goal by Congdon with 2:02 remaining.

As it got uglier for Colorado, its fans turned unruly. The Huskers were on a time-consuming drive that included Taylor scrambling for back-to-back first downs when debris started coming out of the student section.

With 10:19 left and NU on the Buffs' 33, the Folsom Field public-address announcer relayed that fans in Sections 115 and 116 needed to clear their seats before the game would resume.

When it did, Nebraska missed a 28-yard field goal by Congdon, which was followed by a CU fan running across the field, the second such trespasser of the game.

From the OWH, on that great display of sportsmanship. This is what Hawkins is talking about. That would be absolutely funny if he had to forfeit because of the CU fans actions!!

What game was he watching? :wow: That game was an embarrasment to the program. There isn't any way you can pin that spectacle on the fusker fans. It was all us on that one.

there are a hundred ways to say it that would actually mean something. not make idle threats about quitting.

the man says he will pull the players off the field and let the corn win if the fans don't behave.

how can you support this kind of nonsense?

i don't. too much room for tarded fuskers to start a riot and have cu suffer. that said, i cannot support your brand of nonsense either.

Absolutely!! (but let me guess, it was NU fans dressed in black and gold that created that mess two years ago!)

Who's the myopic one here lady?? I mean really!

i would say that it was a husker coach that i saw give a throatslash and say a ditty about hillbillies.

it was the red and white throwing bottles at brandon in the endzone when he took it to your house.

it was the red clad grannies throwing tomatoes at jordan not too long ago.

yep. those were all cu's fault, from the perspective of a drug-induced beat cop.

Who's the myopic one here lady?? I mean really!

i know that a few students threw between 8-12 pieces of trash on the empty end of the field a few years ago.

but i am not the one going on a rival board acting as the incident did not happen, am i? that is a pretty dead ringer for MYOPIA as a fan.

kansas, fsu, isu

Well, considering the Kansas game amounted to giving the #2 team in the country the closest call they've had all year, I think there may be more to consider there than just blaming somebody for a loss. FSU was a simple case of their d-line completely overwhelming our o-line. I think that is an area that his clearly improved since that game. ISU, I will grant you was not his best coaching job. The 4th down play was a huge error and gave the Clowns the momentum. But, leaving aside the fact that CU did tie that game and the overtime is still pending, I would like to see a list of coaches who have never lost a game with a bad decision. I think it will be pretty short.

Hawk is certainly not perfect, and the comparison to Skippy has occured to me before. But there are major differences. Hawk has developed a style in a wide open league where putting points on the board on almost every possession was a necessity. And at a program that had more talent than most opponents, allowing him to take those chances. I think he will adapt to the Big XII, and I think ISU may have been a tipping point for him. Skippy came in and destroyed any trace of a running game. Hawk wants to build a great running attack, and there has been improvement in that area from the beginning of the year. Hawk appears to demand much more of his players, in terms of work ethic, responsibility, etc. than we ever saw from Skippy. In many ways, I think it is a less accurate comparsion than it might seem on the surface...

I notice that nothing was said in your post about the win over OU - just who would get the credit for that one? Surely not Hawk in any way? Must just be the fact that we have such an enormous talent advantage of the Sooners...

BRC aren't you busy making death threats to the coaches? Time is a wastin man!

no, he is busy looking over his shoulder at the door to his trailer while typing away as a lame attempt at attention.

buffman, your little rant was what this fool was waiting for all day.

3 students throwing paper airplanes on the Folsom turf is far worse than crackpots wanting a coach dead for allowing too many yards.

that wasn't one decision. they blew a 21 to 0 lead! against a terrible team!

Get off track very often "lady"?? This thread is about how Hawkins has threatened to pull his team off of the field on Friday, if the CU student section acts like it did two years ago. Let's try to keep on track "lady" with what we are talking about, as I know it can be difficult for you sometimes.

Yeah, a bottle came out of the stands as Drumm went into the end zone, but that is nothing compared to what the CU fans did a couple of years ago. Not even close. To have a whole section removed is beyond embarrassing for your team and university. But being myopic as you tend to be, probably won't see that for what it was! That coach you talk about will no longer be employed with UNL come Saturday, and I refute that tomato story, as nothing more than crap made up by one of your players. Dizon is the only one that has stated this as happening, and I don't believe it for one second! So I must be myopic!:wow:

the man says he will pull the players off the field and let the corn win if the fans don't behave.

I think he is just trying to show people that he is a man of his word and he wants the fans not to react that way. All it does is make the University look stupid and that type of behavior from any teams fans is not acceptable.

I heard the threat came from a CU fan living in Lincoln. Trying to set a Husker up! Did I get that right, lady?? Just trying to get the "art of the deflection" down correctly, and pass the blame elsewhere!
