Official Washington State Game Thread (10/21, 8:45 on ESPN)

I'm not willing to jump ship on Mac because of a loss to a ranked team on the road in conference play.

It would be cool if we had a handful of 4-star type recruits playing on our o-line and/or in the front 7 on defense.

We're competitive at the skill positions, but our lack of depth gets exposed on the line as the game goes on, and when injuries or ejections pop up.

So competitive at the QB position. This team has good WRs and cornerbacks and that's absolutely it. Lindsay is awesome but a senior and has no replacement.

BTW, it would be cool if we had a handful of 4 star recruits playing on the line because that would mean that our coaches were recruiting such players, but they aren't and won't because they either don't care about recruiting or suck at it.

CSU is far better than CU in the trenches....Would rather have Bobo than Mikey Mike....

Competitive at the skill positions? Oh my.

I don't think I've ever seen a 3-4 defense that is always so spread out away from the LOS as I have seen under Eliot this year.

I’m sure that was the only good play call, you are right.
The point I was trying to make, which you somehow still don't get, is that a "good playcaller" is one that makes a majority of good playcalls and has a strategy for calling certain plays, such as setting up the defense for future plays. Not one that makes a good playcall once every so often that he pulls out of his ass

Washington State one hundred and thirty first out of one hundred and thirty one in all of big boy college football at rushing the football at less than 75 yards a game is going to put up over than 200 on us but we are competitive at the skill positions and MM is a good coach.

this is DBT-hawkins era sunshine pumping.

The defensive back fundamentals are so good, if we had a front seven worth a **** this would be so much different.

CSU looks good... when they play in the MWC. We've already seen the last several years what that means in terms of real life. They aren't better than us in the trenches. A push possibly.
