Any thoughts on this. I think the Huskers are moving fast to mitigate this, but there could be some fallout. Their class looks pretty solid...

I think Baker Steinkhuler really, really, really wants to be a Buff.

:smile2:

only a fusker would name their kid Baker.....ugh-tastic. :wow:

And a guy named Steinkhuler will only be a Buff over Dean's dead body. Great o-lineman though.

You are CORRECT! TO is trying to get the ball rolling and do damage control with the recruits. I don't blame these kids one bit for looking at other schools. Some have already moved on and committed. I have a feeling that other's may as well. I also think that whoever we get will try bring the kids that they have been working on to Nebraska. The good thing is, we still have some great/young talent here, but constant recruiting is a must in today's College Football!

Huskers have lost a couple already, and a few more are keeping a close eye on things and could be gone before all is said and done. Im sure other coaches are in their ears.

I know that isnt you, you chimed in to clarify that those are "frosted tips"

No, that isnt me.

as a joke! i'm not going to take smack from someone who can't even make up their mind about their favorite CFB program...:smile2:

you're like a HERMAPHRODITE of college football fandom...:wow::wink2:

My alltime favorite BUFFs names are:

This thread has been totally 'jacked. Arrrrrrghh

Anyway, the longer the search goes on the worse it will get. Every kid on their oral list is getting calls from other schools. Some of their recruits already blead NU's colors. Others will look around. Notre Dame already stole one from them. The new coach may not keep some. It's a dicey time.

ahhh.... there is plenty of time between now and February. TO is shoring up the lack of communication BC had with many of them for the last several weeks. TO is selling the program not the promise of pro ball. It is going back to the roots, letting parents know their kids will be looked after.

also letting them know he still has a gun cabinet in the office and the academics are easy. (thought i would beat you all to it)

It's great to see that he is actually hitting the recruiting trail and going around and talking to the recruits. I have all the faith in the world in him.

Thats Nebraska's problem, you have all this faith in a 70 year old washed up POS. Does he coach football or is he an interim AD? Does he make decisions on game day? Does he still have his trainer there that injects steroids in all of his players? Just some questions to ponder. 65

thats highly offensive!! NU was trend setting in the weight room.... it changed CFB forever, Steroids.... bahhh.... everybody knows it was hgh, we were trend setters.:wink2:

and that old POS has forgotten more about FB than the last entire staff knew about FB. I dont think he is going after new recruits as much as seeing prior commits, I think he is capable of retaining a good portion of them. IMO this is a hint as to whom he is leaning toward for HC.

Why is the situation at UNL beginning to remind me more of Al Davis and the Raiduhs all the time? How many times has Davis gone back to the past of the organization or retreads from around the league (Al Shell? Joe Bugel? Norvell Turner? Bill Clownahan?) to bring in coaches that would do things his way, only to find out his way doesn't work anymore. Osborne appears set on doing the same thing. He better hope his way of doing things isn't as outdated as Al's...

Im sure other coaches are in their ears.

You can bet the recruits of any school currently undergoing a coaching change (or about to) are being bombarded by other coaches, trying to pick them off. I think CU will steal a recruit or two from either NU, aTm or maybe a school like UCLA that could be firing their coaches soon.

aggy already lost a pretty highly regarded safety prospect to OU. I'm sure there will be more to follow.

POS huh??? Well at least the POS did great things with this program. He is doing a hell of a lot more than other AD's would do considering he is out on the recruiting trail trying to save recruits.
