Polls, rankings and bowl projections

CU is now included in betting odds to win the Natty... Get rich folks!

Alabama has turned this into what golf futures were like in Tiger's prime. Them versus the field has become less than even money.

They are the closest thing we've ever seen to a professional football team among the college ranks. They are an absolute machine.

It's funny, I was watching MM's press conference after ASU game and he was so giddy and happy and really just talking to the media and answering questions the way a fan would, IMO. Contrast that to Saban ripping the team in his post game press conference after winning by 34 points against an SEC opponent. It's nothing but business there where coaches flock to get a major resume booster and players go to be developed into NFL players. Nothing more, nothing less.

We could have bowl games in Shreveport (dull city, lousy weather) or Memphis (cool city, almost always lousy weather for the bowl.) Other bad locations due to bowl time weather are Annapolis, Birmingham, Mobile, The Bronx, and Boise.

Memphis would be awesome. Bias because I use to live there, however, the barbeque is ridiculously good, the local beer is fantastic and Beale St. is crazy fun.

That said if you find yourself Memphis for more than three days, something has gone tragically wrong.

Yeah, would Alamo even be interested in that? You can't have the same bowl 2 out of 3 years. That's lame.

Do we have the same type of language in our bowl agreements that the Big 10 does? (I know certain bowls there have to take 5 teams in 6 different years or something like that in that league) I wouldn't mind the Alamo again, but I'd think Oklahoma, TCU, or Texas are way more likelier opponents ATM than Oklahoma State. I think they've got the first selection of Big 12 bowls after the NY6.

They're basically projecting OSU to finish 3rd in the Big 12. One CFP team, one NY6, and then the Alamo. This scenario is also assuming CU finishes 2nd in the Pac but UW doesn't make the CFP.

That would probably be contingent on us finishing with 8-9 wins as well-I think a 10 win CU team would be a possibility for one of the non-playoff NY6 bowls (I think the only options are Fiesta and Peach this year as well). If Bonagura's scenario plays out, and Texas and Oklahoma weren't available to the Alamo Bowl......I gotta think they'd want WVU simply because they had Oklahoma State two years ago and TCU last year.

San Antonio is fun, but a rematch with OSU doesn’t hold much attraction for me.

I’m hoping for Vegas or San Diego, assuming Pasadena is out.
