Mike MacIntyre officially fired effective immediately

This is why the say-nothing official comment from RG was pointless. EVERYBODY knows he's gone and now we just have this lame duck situation where they are just dancing around it. They should have just said he is going to be fired, effective the end of the regular season. That way he could just spend these pressers talking about how much he enjoyed coaching here, building the program up, coaching his son, returning the program to relevancy, etc. etc.

All the while knowing the plan to do exactly that has been put in motion, just not formally done yet.

Ok thanks for responding. I guess this an eye of the beholder thing because I mostly read comments about MacIntyre to be “good guy”, “easy to root for”, “thanks for doing yeoman’s work getting CU out of the cellar”, etc.

I personally am not thrilled about MacIntyre getting the axe, wish he’d won big here, but I think the results speak for themselves and he got a fair a shake at CU as you get in college football. And he was paid handsomely.

Mac is an emotional coach. I think firing him, then letting him sit there in front of the camera for two more weeks, talking about being fired, would end up VERY VERY poorly.

Not mad in the least. Just love watching this place blow up. Letting sports control you like this makes me laugh. I love my sports but it never has given me anxiety like so many of you.

Wait. Fans of a sports team, acting like fans of a sports team, on a message board DEDICATED to that sports team, makes you laugh? Makes you think that the sports team control peoples anxiety? I assure you 99.9% of the people registered on this board have many other things to worry about in their real lives.

sad thing about my life. This is where I come to "get a break" what does that tell You?
 
Unlike everybody else here, I can’t get too excited about the program going into limbo and potentially being blown up (again).
