Utah game thread. SNOW GAME!!

I don’t know what’s worse, watching a game like that or immediately flipping the channel afterwards to a full stadium, energetic fans, and two competitive programs battling it out. I get that we’re far from winning every game, but I hope we can at least get to the point where we can expect a full stadium that provides some kind of advantage. Hearing the Utah chants at home on senior day was about as much as I could stomach.

Would like to see GB installed for the last game. See if we can get the kids to not quit.

Montez is too gun shy, give him the week off to recuperate. Lytle needs the work.

Might as well see what Chiv can do before new staff takes over. MM looked like he was doing more sideline coaching than ever in this game, until the 4th quarter when he looked like he was getting ready to just start walking home

Agreed on Montez being so labotimized about turnovers that he does not take any of his patented shots down field anymore. He is perfect on throw aways to the crowd though, cannot stand that!

No. Zero need to create some sort of facade that he (or any other assistant) got any shot at the full time job.He can stay if he's willing to go back to being a position coach. Fire him now, let him coach the Cal game (because it doesn't matter IMO), and get the search going.

Keeps current players and recruits plugged in. Chiv may have been knee capped by MM? Feels like this is not the offense he dreamed of running.

Jay gave the same lame ass accusation about the firing article by Troy Renck....he knows theres truth in it....

C’mon man. That’s an Allbuffs-ism right up there with ‘Barzil’ and ‘I want this clock’.

If we get the right coach then he will know who he wants on staff, don't get in his way.

That means that you don't hire a coach and then try to pick his staff. If you have the right coach and he wants to keep one or members of the current staff then great, his choice. If not, then we say goodbye to them on the way out the door.

I listened to the KOA post game but didn't hear from the coach. Lots of interviews with the players. Does Mac usually give a post game interview on Koa?

He gave an interview on KOA after the game. It was after about 5 commercial breaks, and only lasted about 2 minutes.

Nothing new. Got a bit defensive with a Mark Johnson "Heavy" comment, and once Mark clarified that he meant "losses were heavy," MM went back to his usual routine.

When you look at the Buffs' progression in comparison to NU, ASU, UCLA (teams that we beat), if we had to play those teams now I think we're lucky to win 1 of those games. To me, that makes our 5-6 record feel overinflated. God this ****ing sucks!!!

Must've been when I was down at the corner store buying another six pack.

Coaching makes a ton of difference. Makes bad teams average, average teams good.

Utah rolled in with a backup QB and throttled our ass. Last I checked we had all our primary playmakers, just a really ****ty, unoriginal gameplay.

These coaches suck. Cut bait now and get a coach that has some ability to raise the play of the kids or a great system. We do that and we can get to 9-10 wins consistently. Mac and staff will not do it.

Well, at least he couldn't blame it on injuries; it seemed like most everyone was back.

We went and it was nice to be there for the seniors. It was somewhat of a sad sight, them running out to their families in the snow in front of a mostly-empty stadium. It got better (I think on KOA they said 17,000 or so tickets scanned) later, but ugh. Too cold, too disappointing. We left in the third quarter when they started to give up all those points; my fingers and toes were freezing by that point.

What was up with the no snowballs announcement from the ref. We're there a lot?

I remember a time when I loved watching the Buffs because win OR lose they played their asses off. Landman is 1 of those guys. But he is very alone.

Please bring in a coach with some cajones!

We don't have a good view of the lower student section so maybe that was where it was happening? I thought the ref said "both sides" but I never noticed any tossed snowballs.
