CU officially hires Mel Tucker as new Head Football Coach

1 - RG was super proud showing off that facility (and he should be).
2 - The wife seemed pretty happy and impressed (always important).
3 - I just walked into my ****ty one story office building and that guy gets to have that as his work place. I might be a little jealous.

This is going to be on long off season.

Thanks for posting that video SerenityBuff - This is going to be fun. All the angst over the last 2 weeks has been washed away. I truly think he is impressed, and he has not even met Ralphie yet. HCMT now that he has seen his facilities, knows he will be able to sell. Just get the kids here let him close.

I thought the coaches son comment was pretty funny actually lol, and the baseball question was just a random one that he said while RG was getting off the phone so no big deal. Those NFL questions made me cringe though.
It just all felt rushed. It was only a 15 minute interview and you could tell DMac just wanted to get through the college talk. He abruptly stopped the college questions and went quickly into the NFL which was weird. Also, his best comp for Fromm is Ben? Come on

I think it just sort of explains what their show is about. It is more improv and entertainment instead of well researched questions like a Jim Rome and they clearly ran out of things to say. Contrast that with what Chase Howell did on the 247 board where he asked fans what they wanted to know on top of his own questions I am sure he already had.

I'm convinced that DBag either owns that station, or he is extorting the station owner. He is without question one of the worst on air personalities I have encountered in 46 years on earth. Mark Johnson voice (and flow) = gold strands a beautiful music flowing through my ears, even when the news in unfortunate. Every shrill word out of DBag's ugly mouth = my ears eating crap. So, long story short, DBag is terrible at his job (in my opinion).
I’ve made it my mission in life to avoid Dbag.

Wait... wut? Is this a joke? Am I going to get the UBL label permanently plastered on my profile if I point out that Jim Rome never researched anything in his life?

Great video, I love how you could see the fire in his eyes and he is ready to go to work.
This hire is a home run for RG. I have not been this excited in years!
Cant wait to see how this man, leads our young men on and off the field.
Get the staff, recruit, recruit, and then recruit some more!
WIN! Championships!

Did you see the two interviews Jim Rome did with Mac this year and in 2016? About as well researched as you could ask for, and yes that could be his people doing the research but it still makes its way to his show.

In the video, what struck me was that as he was meeting people he had 100% of his attention on them. Particularly when it was a player. The way he introduced himself to Mo Bell using his first name and then telling him he's a hugger instead of sticking with a handshake was a nice peek into why we keep hearing that his players love him and are willing to work so hard and run through a wall for him. Players will accept discipline and being coached hard when they know the coach genuinely knows them, cares about them and has their back.

Probably one of the biggest qualities I liked about FHCMM was that he appeared to truly care for his players as people first. Glad to see Coach Tucker appears to be similar in that regard.

Honestly, the guy is such an ass that I haven’t seen or heard him in 10 years. Maybe his schtick has changed. It just struck me as terribly odd that anybody would equate “well researched” and “Jim Rome”.

I hate that hack. He’s awful.

That was a great moment, best of the entire video.

Exactly, you could tell he was damn impressed that he will not be at a disadvantage to ANYBODY selling facilities to recruits. I could also see the wheels turning and the hunger to get rolling.

Second those with my initial impression of his character to players and those he meets.

Yep. Wheels were definitely spinning. With the team amphitheater, he was letting them know he wants it organized so the seniors sit in the front. It was very clear throughout the tour that he wasn't just taking a tour, he was thinking about how he'd use everything.

That was a very interesting little nugget of insight into how he wants his team leadership structured.
