February 6th Signing Day Big Board & Recruiting News

Just one man’s opinion, but Stanley is definitely a WR. He has quicks and moves that will be potent when the time comes.

Yes. He’s got nice quickness and runs crisp routes. If he can become more consistent with his hands (goes from showing wow catch skills to WTF), he will be a really big weapon in moving the chains.

247 shows interest from Indiana State and TTech but no offers

Edit: Mentions CSU in both tweets but claims offer came directly from Coach Tucker...

Random but @runralphierun account just RT'd his reply

Virginia football coaches have been flirting with Fork Union post graduate defensive back Jamel Hamm – a 6-4, 200-pound cornerback, who Fork Union Military Academy head coach John Shuman called “One of the top athletes to come through here in 30-something years.”
That’s an impressive list, which includes New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas, former Cavaliers Darryl Blackstock and Morgan Moses, former first-round pick Gaines Adams and current UVa cornerback Darrius Bratton.

Hamm came to Fork Union from Ginn Academy, an all-male school in Cleveland, Ohio, which was founded by Ted Ginn Sr. – the father of NFL journeyman wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr.

According to 247sports.com, Hamm has offers from Miami (Ohio), Kent State, Massachusetts and Alabama State. Virginia has yet to offer, neither has any other Power 5 program.

Looks like CU are in on another CB I had not previously known about:

Nebraska and West Virginia were pushing for Tavian Mayo to sign in December, but he decided not to. The Huskers and Mountaineers are still high on his list, but Colorado, Georgia Tech, North Carolina and Iowa State are involved too. Official visits to North Carolina (January 11) and Iowa State(January 18) have been scheduled. Colorado or Louisville are fighting for the fifth official visit. This is likely to go to National Signing Day.

The student rec. center was a dump in the early 2000's. Would have loved to have the new amenities on campus during my 4 years.
I was there in the early 2000s. I don't recall spending much time looking at the actual facilities.
