Season Tickets

Got an email saying season tickets are on sale now. Went to gander to see how much availability there was and it’s just riddled with errors. That or Folsom has zero season tickets to sell in all sections which I can’t believe to be true.

My daughter tried to buy the young alumni ticket package and there was no way to do it. She just left an email to have them call her. A little disappointing that the transaction was so difficult to complete.

It’s such a basic thing to get right, so amateur. I know things happen but to not have your website working when people are trying to give you money is frustrating. Hopefully they fix it fast.

Do you blame Rick George yet? Or does he still get a pass?

Agree, it’s like they make it intentionally confusing. I can’t figure out how they calculated what my balance is to renew. Guess I’ll have to call them.

I thought it was pretty easy... you pay your annual donation which is partially offset by your donation in 2018, you pay for your Folsom seats, you pay for the ****ing lammies game if you want to attend, you pay for your parking in Boulder and in Denver, you pay for your extras (like your wifey's seat-back and your preference for in-stadium bar experience), you confirm your credit card, BOOM...tickets.

**** you!

I can’t even check out...after making zero changes and adding to cart!....it says not the correct number ordered??...inept

That’s the part I can’t figure, when I add my donations for 2018/19 it’s over my minimum level for my seats/parking but the site says I still need to pony up $240 more...

I called and did mine over the phone, namely because of the parking donation. Ended up being able to keep in 391 this year because they will count my corporate match from this year even though it won't get paid until March. They also counted my corporate match that was paid last year which lowered what I needed to contribute this year. But keeping 391 for 2020 season will be an issue because the giving has to be done this year beyond what you give this year for 2019 tickets and parking. I keep wondering what kind of cluster it will be next year. I really hate the timing, they will get you either before or after Christmas. Wish they would just set the deadline at June 30th before the season, so at least you have some sort of break in between.

My experience was similarly easy.

oh, I'm very aware that interest rates for savings over the last decade or so are the lowest they've been in my life (and I expect them to increase over the next few years). I don't know the exact rate, but I know it's < 1%. but hell, 1% on a pair of medium priced season tickets would almost get me a beer at the next game!

seriously though, the first savings account I opened as a child earned like 8%, and I really believe interest rates will go up, soon.

but having that money in my savings vs controlled by someone else gives me more than just interest -- it give me control over that money (which I understand is a detriment to some, but I consider a positive).
My online savings is now at 2.35% (PurePoint Financial). They've kept among the highest rates since I started with them a couple of years ago at 1.6%. An online offshoot of a physical bank. FDIC insured, so no worries.

E-mail response to me from RG below regarding the rate increase. Or maybe it's from one of his subordinates. Or maybe it's a canned response. As someone recently said, If your going to raise the price, you should get something of good value in return. And as someone else said, the increase maybe due to paying Coach Tuckers salary. I guess we will have to wait and see just what kind of product ends up on the field. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?

Thank you for reaching out to me. As you may or may not know, we haven’t had a donor minimum level increase in over 20 years for our parking lots. Our Buff Club, is making adjustments to donor levels and pricing it according to proximity to stadium, so that is the reason for the increase. We are aware that it might affect sales in other areas, but this is an area that we needed to address as we move forward in an effort to put a better and more consistent product on the field.
We do have other lots that can be used for parking if that price level does not work for you. I would be happy to have someone from the Buff Club call you if you would like. Thank you for your continued support!!

Rick

That was incredibly easy. Options were obvious. If you want a payment plan, it was an easy selection. In or out for CSEwe. Parking. Pay. Not sure how they make it easier. Took less than 3-4 minutes in total

Graduating this year and not sure if I will be working in Denver or out of state for law school . Trying to decide if I go for the young alumni tickets now or hold off and purchase single game tickets. My only concern is how much the Nebraska game tickets will be. I paid almost $300 to go to game last season in the much large Memorial Stadium. I figure worst case I can buy the season tickets now and then sell them on stubhub if I'm out of state but doubt I will get much for that section for any of the other games next season especially if we are terrible again.

Young Alumni tickets will still be available in June/July. I would just hold off.

Got an email about seat selection with a time slot to pick should I choose to switch. I looked online and my phone doesn’t seem to like their website very much. I really hope CU is smarter than to set up time slots in the middle of the day on a Thursday and expect everyone to just have a computer readily available. I could be anywhere at that point in my day and it doesn’t say how long your time slot is even active for?

Yes, they're doing this (as usual) throughout the day. I'm assigned 10:42 am for example on the day I'm assigned. You can do this anytime after that. I believe you can also arrange to do it over the phone, but you want to know what sec/row/seats you're trying to change to. Their app shows what seats are available in real time.

This is my first season with season tickets so I’m new to this process. Ah okay, I was worried it was only for a set amount of time, say 2:30-3:30. I don’t have any idea what sec/row etc I want. I already picked some but was curious what opened up after renewals. I’ll just have to log in when I get home.

Question for those who have had tickets and more experience. This is subject to change between now and next Thursday obviously. But if you could be aisle seats in row 7, 8, 15, 22, 30 or 31 what would you choose? I don’t want to be too far away but I don’t want to have an obstructed and hard angle to watch either. I’m in section 120, currently row 7. My gut is saying row 15 is probably perfect.

I prefer a little higher up as the action gets harder to see on the near sideline when you are trying to look around people standing on the field. We are Sec 106 row 24 and wouldn’t want to get much lower because we can’t see the near side of the field. End up looking at the monitors to see where a player went out of bounds, or if the catch was in bounds. We also like the West side because it’s where the geriatric alumni are located.

Thanks! I went east side with a flatirons view to start! I’ll see what’s available Thursday and maybe move back.
