Lookalike & Game thread- #24 ranked/ #18 (NET rankings) Men's bball hosts #27 (NET) Stanford (Boulder, Sat., 2/8, 4:00 PM, Pac 12 Networks)

Well the collision really puts a damper on it. I looked at the Stanford board and they think Battey did it on purpose and was crying "crocodile tears" I can't blame them for being pissed, but I can assure you if any of you are here Battey is not the kind of kid to do something like that intentionally. He's suffered from strokes himself.

Go Buffs. That was one hell of a game to watch. Great comeback. Hope the Stanford kid recovers quickly. What a scary moment.

If anyone disparages that kid, they can come fight me.

Buffs might not be pretty at times, but they fight to the end. Refs just so bad all the way around. I thought kicking a leg out trying to draw contact was supposed to be called on the offensive player?

Basically have your pick of these four to praise: Kin, Battey, Schwartz, Bey. Great second half from all of them. That was the Kin we all love, I hope to see that mentality more often this season down the stretch. Battey hit some big shots despite being understandably very emotional, very hard to keep your head in the game under those circumstances and he did it through tears and all. Schwartz was clutch and provided some much needed offense. Bey dominated on the defensive end and stayed in his role on offense - 0 turnovers, 2 steals, 2 blocks, and some big rebounds.

First and foremost, I hope and I know we all hope da Silva recovers quickly. Stanford fans can be pissed at Battey so much as they want. Their guys aren't pissed at him. Very proud of everyone involved, especially including Stanford's coaching staff and players, our guys, and our fans. Moments guaranteed to be used in Pac-12 commercials for years to come.

Well hell yeah, Buffs held serve at home this weekend against some spirited Bay Area teams. There is more work to be done.

So did Tucker make it back from East Lansing in time? I didn't see him on the tv broadcast.

Helluva win, its clear when this team clicks, they can beat just about anyone. It's all about consistency.

I have to say ... Evan Battey is my favorite Buff of any sport in recent memory (and I knew Rashaan Salaam well.) I teared up seeing the sheer devastation he felt hurting DaSilva. He could feel his pain more than anyone. The kid has the biggest heart of any Buff I can recall. And the vulnerability and joy he has is so infectious. It's unlike anything I've seen in awhile. I'll never forget that moment when the teams came together on the court. Sometimes we forget these are just 18, 19, 20 year old kids ...

**** them. The block/charge arc is painted there for a reason. It's about player safety. Besides, look at Battey. There's a reason no one ever tried to take a charge on Shaq on a breakaway.

It was unfortunate he got hurt. I feel for him and hope he's ok. But what he did was stupid and Furd fans should STFU and not be coming with ignorant takes.

Just want to put this out there again. Everything Seattle said.

I’m with ‘nik on this one. Don’t foul a 270 lb. dude on a breakaway. That said, I hope he’s OK and can play next week.

Also, while I love Battey’s emotion, give me Kin’s ice cold heart every time. That stare he gave the ref after the tree flopped was magnificent.

This x1000000000000% while I would like Battey's response post game you never would have seen Jordan, Bird, or Kobe pulling that mid game. I don't wish Oscar permanent injury but he got what he earned in game.

Evan Battey has the biggest heart. There is no finer representative of the University of Colorado than that young man.
What a bizarre game. Buffs shot 70% in the second half, 8-8 from 3.
Game ops people need to pull their heads out of their asses. We can’t have a supa dupa tuba cheer, but they can play the ****ing Macarena and YMCA both in time outs under 4 minutes in a close game and kill a mostly electric crowd. Get the hell out of here with that crap.

I honestly don't think I have seen a greater display of overall sportsmanship than I saw from everyone involved after the Da Silva injury. Congratulations to everyone involved. Evan's emotion was part of it, but the way the Stanford players reacted to Evan's reaction was part, too. I don't know what the Stanford coach was saying to everyone, but him addressing both teams got me a little misty.

Why anyone would get in the way of a 275 pound man running at full speed is beyond me. De Silva went up for the hard foul and lost. Battey did nothing wrong but I totally get the horror thinking you might have really injured someone even on accident.

Someone may have noted earlier it was Randy McCall and crew officiating this clunker.......worst person and ref to grace the Denver Metro area!
He who nullified Sabatino Chen's game-winning 3 pointer at AZ! Yeah, the same damn prick!
The guy's been a D-Bag hack going back as far as his Creek days.
