So today it was one of those incredibly beautiful sunny and clear days out here in San Francisco. I wore my black Colorado shirt (blackout shirt from the FSU game last year) in celebration of Dizon and TWheat as I walked around the city doing various Sunday errands.

I know people have reported seeing more CU stuff in the Denver/Boulder metro area, but I just thought it would be noteworthy to report that I received no fewer than 4 random "Go Buffs" today whilst walking around town.

A breakdown of the commenters:

1)Some old guy at the classic car show outside grace cathedral.
2)Hot chick (with what appeared to be a boyfriend) yelling to me from the cable car outside my apt.
3)Group of three girls (phone numbers collected!) down on polk street near the hardware store.
4)Random 10 or so year old kid wearing a colorado rockies jersey in union square.

All's right in the world.

HA, I was in Boston this weekend wearing the black and gold and I received a hearty "GO BUFFS" inside the Prudential Center (mall).

Good to hear all the CU love out there. Here in hermosa Beach, there is alot of "Go Buffs" being shouted on the strand (boardwalk) and I see more buff gear on folks and CU stickers and license plate frames then any other out of state school. We are everywhere.

I have a Buffs car emblem.....I get flipped off all of the time! UT fans still angry about Darrell....

I hear ''go Buffs!" all the time while traveling. Even on the ferry from Denmark to Germany. I even caught one walking through a shoping district in China last year. We'll see how Poland rates next month.

I give a shout out every time I see Buff gear. My wife thinks its weird. She just doesn't understand.:sad1:

Numbers collected. Ah yes you were on POLK STREET. The karma is at work.:smile2:

Yes Daaah are you sure they were chicks?

Also have the norcal alumni settled on a new gameday bar after the tragic closure of Bayside?

I was in Phoenix a couple of years ago for Thanksgiving. The morning of the game, we all piled into the car for a Costco run. I was wearing my black and gold in honor of the game. As I was standing outside, I heard a "GO BUFFS BEAT NEBRASKA!" The guy was wearing an Arizona State t-shirt.

He got a :woot: in return. Too bad we lost that year. :sad1:

I went to San Fran last March with my lacrosse team sporting my CU hoodie I saw atleast 10 people in Buff gear.

My wife went to the dreaded CSU - never wears the gear and could care less about CSU - her sister went the Cow State as well and their kids are Buffs. Not sure if its normal but I support my my school - Dad went to CU, I went there. Some people just aren't in to it.

:wtf:

the bayside closed? i loved that place!!!

:sad1:

time to petition the thirsty bear for gameday saturday...

...oh, and when i lived there the bay area had one of the strongest alumni groups in the country. lots of buffs settle there right out of school...

I was in Vegas this weekend dawning a Buffs hat and saw some Buff gear, particularly at the airport. I gave out a few "Go Buffs" but didn't get much response in return. However, it was Sunday in Vegas...:puke:

Haaaaah. I wasn't that far down polk street. I don't pick up those 'chicks' outside of Divas, thanks.

And no, I have not heard of a new place to subplant bayside. Bayside had a wonderful gameday atmosphere, and I find it hard to believe that anything will quite match up. Gameday saturdays at Bayside were really the only reason I ever set foot in the Marina. I've heard that it might move over to Green St. Sports Bar (on Polk), but I'd prefer something like the Rogue Tavern. I think Wisconsin may have already claimed Rogue. Who knows though. I've heard there is a facebook group that is addressing this urgent matter . I need to figure out my facebook pw and check up on the progress.

tell them to make a trip or two to boulder every fall....

I am always wearing something from CU and my car has a CU magnet on it... I get a "go buffs!" from time to time.

For having no alumni functions here, there are a decent amount of alums.

just got a "go buffs!" from a 70+ year old lady at the grocery store in mpls, i replied hell yeah! and quickly apologized.

I counted 15 people, men and woman, wearing Buff gear at the Hermosa Beach Memorial Day festivus. Of course I was sporting a sweet CU lid and gave each and every person a hardy "Go Buffs" whcih was responded to on 3 different occassions with F-em up CU. Saw only 1 Neb. shirt and 2 UT shirts. No verbal exchange there, just hard looks going both ways.
