We now take you to Tempe, AZ

So it’s open season on ASU recruits and players now right?
This does come at an awkward time for recruiting, what with ASU's head of recruiting/defensive coordinator/assistant head coach (Pierce) in the center of this whole mess.

Why would they leave if they know their current coaches don't give an eff about the rules? Might embolden them.

BTW, I took/take the virus very seriously, just trying to get in the mindset of an 18 year old that feels invincible.

Read for the lolz
They all seem hung up on the $$ amount of the flights saying “it’s $1100 guys, calm down” and aren’t even talking about hosting at least 13 known recruits during a dead period (and allegedly a lot more) that was enacted due to a global pandemic and taking public safety measures.

George Costanza Seinfeld GIF

This gif keeps coming to mind whenever I think about this situation.

Weren't they the only team in the power 5 last year that had three games in a row cancelled because of their own COVID outbreak? Shouldn't it have been obvious to like everyone that they were up to something like this given that fact alone?
As I posted earlier Herm is tight with a televangelist who was very strong with the virus is a hoax message. I can easily see Herm not only not taking it seriously but being defiant in terms of complying with precautions and rules.

Would not surprise me at all if it were to come out that he encouraged the players to expose themselves to it so they could "get it over with" like a cold or flu. When it lingered around the team he ended up with lost games. Not saying I've seen any specific evidence that he did this but it would fit.

By the way that was the approach that Addazzio started out with in Ft. Collins encouraging his guys to practice with likely positive players.

Does everyone here think Herm will lose his job, or will firing Pearce and/or other assistants be enough?

Also, knowing how slowly the NCAA moves, will this impact the 2021 season at all?

If they have concrete evidence Herm is complicit (which it appears they do), then he gone too.

No, yes, Maybe.

Any thought on if they go back and give ASU losses for the 2020 games they missed due to COVID? Would seem appropriate given the cavalier attitude towards the protocols.
