CU @ Air Force

I was thinking more flying planes veering, as opposed to veer offense ItcPILOT!
See what I did there?!
TGIF!
My comment was a joke to your joke.....nicely done! Especially since my joke was about the "Veer". Like other option plays, the Veer is used to create deception by giving the offense multiple choices for who the ball carrier may be on any given play. It is often known as a triple option, meaning that there are three potential ball carriers for every play -- the quarterback plus two running backs

So opposing a war at a game is political but having everyone sing the national anthem and give a standing ovation to the military heroes of the game isn't?
OMG. Really? You know no one is forcing you to come to the game. And that is the wonderful thing in this great country we live in, that we don't have to agree on everything. But that doesn't mean anyone should be disrespectful to those they disagree with. At least with the cool forecast we have, you won't be melting if you do come to the game.

If it rains the run game may be even more important for both teams!

Is this a picture you took of a TV screen showing the stadium? It looks weird as hell.

Settle down, Airman. I'm fine with all that stuff, doesn't upset me one bit. But to say one side is being political and disrespectful (the one you disagree with), while the other isn't, well that's just silly.

AF had a lot of bad feelings when they broke off the series in the early 1970s. Bad anti-war behavior by vocal Buff fans. I think this will be the 1st game since, played at AF. I can see them trying to embarass us.

When KD took the job, he remarked that his wife and he had decided on Boulder as their 'forever' home some years back. This job and the success of this team mean the world to him.

Lord knows, we are overdue for some athletic luck.

Go Buffs.
You realize half these kids parents probably werent even born the last time we played AFA in the Springs. Literally no one cares about that narrative. Sounds like some contrived beef that Plati would dig up.

Anyway.... if Shrout is the QB, and if we give him time, the offense could actually have some success. I truly believe part of our problem last year (besides Chiv) was that no one respected BLew's passing abilities. If Shrout can make teams give a **** about our passing capabilities, the run game should get a break too.

BUT, I think AFA's gonna have to put the ball on the carpet for us to have a chance.

Going to be a lot of grass stains on the Defense unis if all white.
More like brown stains as our defenders once again pick the wrong hole to fill.

And for our Falcon friend @ltcpilot this may not hold true for the university or the fan base as a whole but I would venture that this board includes a much higher than average representation of individuals who have served in the uniforms of all of the branches including a significant number who were/are career military and who have served in conflict situations.

Oh man I just heard Mark Johnson indirectly use the youth excuse on Altitude radio. “90 of the 100something players are under classmen”
Mark works for the AD. His job is to attempt to keep people interested long enough to buy tickets or at least listen to the commercials.

Even though he isn't an alum Mark is very emotionally attached to this program. He is professional enough not to let it slip out but seeing this pathetic excuse for a team going out there has to be eating him up.

I would say the same about GB. There have been a couple times this year including last week where it seemed like he was just ready to say something, thought the better of it, and held his tongue.

I always thought Wyoming was a bit stuck in the wild west idiom, but they don’t even have TV?
The WYO games are on CBSSN and/or the MW channel, as are most Mtn West games, but because they're playing an FCS team it's not televised. It can be streamed through some weird Ath Dept function or mirrored in low quality onto a TV, but it was time for me to take a quick trip up to CO/WY for a weekend anyway.

For the record, I'm rescinding my previous prediction of a Colorado win. That prediction was based on the assumption the Karl Dorrell wasn't capable of pulling everything down to his level, and we'd see improvement.

Thanks for the well said words. I respect that enormously. The few posts referring to 40 years ago got under my skin as I'm an old fart but do remember.

Respectfully this is not about Vietnam. It is about disrespect from one school to another. Many DO remember that game in 1973 in Boulder (I was a freshman at the Academy) when our Superintendent (ie School president, Chancellor, etc) Was hit in the head with a full beer bottle and many cadets hit with bottles, had beer poured on them, and more.

No one holds that against those who attend now and the CU fans who represent their school, but you can't erase memories of a series stopped because of that after 40 years.

Thanks for all that served and truly hope for an enjoyable experience for all tomorrow hopefully with AF the Victor. I hope the weather allow the pregame tailgates and the activities to include the March on, the parachuters to include our mascot The Bird (if winds allow) and the flyby if weather cooperates.

Again, safe travels and get there early.
