Just came to say hello from Provo!

Gotcha... Yeah, probably shouldn't have mentioned them, as yes. It isn't truly very relevant to the original purpose of my post. The bad blood still runs deep even having been apart for some time now. Honestly, both sides tend to live in the other's head pretty much rent free. I'd be lying if I said I didn't care about what happens to them. Haha

I won't stay long though.

Oh, I don't want to chase you away. Don't get me wrong.

I still can't get over the bailer thing.

If I was going to ask a bailer fan anything, it sure as **** wouldn't be about their Provo experience.

I would ask them if they feel any remorse about institutional support around slaver, murder and rape. And then I'd probably ask some follow on questions about that. But not about Provo.
As an ex-Mormon, doesn't sound too far off of BY either honestly... lol 😅 I separated BYU football from the school and the church in my mind years ago.

I have questions.

Let’s start with:

Can we drink alcohol at the tailgate there?

If hypothetically a person might have a recreational amount of substances that are legal throughout the pac on them would this be a problem in Provo?

What about possible cosplay that some might find offensive?

Thanks in advance.
1. You can drink alcohol at the tailgate. But... Tailgating isn't really much of a BYU thing. Mormons are notorious for getting to the game pretty much right at kickoff. You'd probably have more fun at a bar (there are a few in Utah County, but not a ton).

2. Just don't get caught. Or, forge a med card. lol

3. Anything that shows an exposed shoulder, or above the knee and you're set. 👌

Boulder to Provo: take 40 through Steamboat Springs, stop at Dinosaur NM

weekend in SLC area, Antelope Island SP, Big/Little Cottonwood Canyon, tons else even if it's not ski season yet

Provo to Boulder: return via 70 with a stop in the Moab area

that's a serious quality road trip. if ski season is on, it's going to be amazing

I also remember seeing a concert at Red Butte Garden on my previous road trip, which is an outstanding music venue and one I'd love to visit again (this is the opinion of a guy who calls Red Rocks "his 'home' venue")

Welcome to the site you ****ing weirdo. We’re not a neighbor you should be excited for, unless you like blood rituals and virgin sacrifices.
Virgins are far too valuable to sacrifice. And blood rituals have gone the way of polygamy. I can tell you that much!

Hell no. BYU chicks can be (and are) freaky as hell. They just don't show it in public. ;)

Excited to have a neighbor across the border! I would love to come to Boulder for a game some time and I really hope any and all of you get a chance to come to Provo as well. Provo may only be ~40 miles from Salt Lake, but they couldn't be more different. Despite what Utah fans will tell you, I feel that MOST fans of away teams have a good, fun time in Provo even if they don't leave with the W all the time. Ask Baylor fans about their experience last year. Hopefully you will enjoy your time here as well if/when you come.

Anyway, that's really all. Excited to play you guys and to hopefully develop a fun, unforced rivalry.

We understand bad blood...we have no love lost for Nebraska. But not at the level of BYU-Utah from what I have heard from Ute fans and I have seen those Ute fans talking about BYU on other boards. It just hasn't happened on this board but I don't think that is a healthy rivalry.

Just like we are enjoying our last win over the Huskers, here's to you continuing to enjoy your last win over the Utes.

You're DEFINITELY not wrong there. Haha

I did drive west on I-70 then north on I-15 to Boise one time and enjoyed that road trip. If I could avoid I-80, I'd do it every time.

Now that BYU is getting P5 AD revenue, Will its policies change about paying competitive coach salaries?

God I hope so... I'm so tired of competing with one hand tied behind our backs. The Honor Code is bad enough, but add in the lowball pay and it is amazing to me that we have the program that we do.

That really is a helluva trip! When I heard that Colorado was joining, one of my first thoughts was that I want to make the trip out to Boulder to see a game.

Some of my favorite sports memories are going to away games of in-conference and/or regular opponents. It was usually UNLV and Boise, but this gives me a good excuse to add Boulder to that list! Doesn't hurt that the in-between for the drive has as much cool stuff as it does!

I literally did that road trip for the Wisconsin game I linked. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Bonus for me was that one of my favorite actively touring bands -- Govt Mule -- was playing at Red Butte that weekend. Canyonlands was our Moab area stop on the way back. If CU played @BYU every other year, I could make dozens of variations on that itinerary and it'd never get old.

I'm just glad someone had fun at that game... Haha, what a ****ty year to host a team like Wisconsin...
