does anyone know how many fans we've averaged this year? how many were at folsom for ISU last week? on tv, the student section looked late arriving and early departing.....any thoughts?

Eastern Washington-46,417
West Virginia-51,883
Texas-53,927
Kansas State-52,099
Iowa State-46,440

Average: 50,153

The students were flat out pathetic on Sat.

Agreed. I think it had more to do with the time of the game than anything else. Hell, most of them were still sleeping off their hangovers at kickoff. 11:30 games are teh succ. Start that game at 1:30 and the student section would have been much more full. Not full, mind you, but fuller.

Getting up for an early game is not that hard. If you still want to party on Friday, you can, just start at 3 p.m. Fall asleep whenever (2 a.m. for me) and set all three alarms on your phone at the highest volume level. Force yourself into the shower. Go get drunk. Watch football. Yell. Make an ass of yourself for being terribly ****faced that early in the day. Nap later.

Don't clump all the students together, some were pathetic, some like me were awesome:smile2:. I know some that normally go to the games but were sleeping at kick-off. Also, a lot left to get their first skiing/snowboarding in.

87 Has it down. If the students could follow his lead and get drunk first thing in the morning they would be nice and rowdy come game time.

Yeah, cause the 2 runs at A-Basin and one at Loveland were so sweet. The students, as a whole were terrible on Sat. They've been great for the most part this year, but that was embarrassing on Sat. I know the early kickoff is a easy excuse, but look at 87, he made it happen. I still stand by my comments, students failed on Sat. (as is typical, the upperclassmen and grad students were packed in pretty good.)

Not my lead. I'm just trying to live up to what the students showed me when I was a little kid at the game with my dad and his parents. Minus the marshmallow fights :sad1:.

Hey wtf i was there and I'm a frosh:cool:

You get props, the majority of your classmates =Fail. I was up at 7am, got my drink on at 9am. And I'm quasi old and went out the night before.

The thing is that it is easy for us to say, "Oh come on, its not that hard to wake up for a football game..." but we are the type of people who love the Buffs win or lose anytime of the day. That is not the case with many CU students. A lot of them are at CU for tons of different reasons and when the football team is good, they say, "I guess I'll go to the game..why not?" But if the Buffs are bad, they say, "Well, there is lots of other **** I can do."

I will admit that I was not there till halftime... But it was not due to sleeping in due to hangover. I was up at 7:00 AM and had prior obligations :sad1:. I did pull a superman and switch into my lucky WVU shirt while running to the game. I think it worked considering the post-halftime performance of the Buffs.

Ya i can agree with the classmates part. Me and my buddy have been in the stands an hour and a half before every home game so far. We went 5 hours early once:lol: I really think the bad turn-out was the early game time. I guess we'll see next week with the 6 P.M. game-time. No excuses now

actually I believe the turn around came from me, when at half time I stated that the buffs needed to put up 28 in the second half to win this thing.

I think you can get them off the box score on the Buffs.com website. Maybe any box score for that matter.

thank you. where did you get these stats?

Drew is right. I got them off the box scores from the athletic department website. We have a good shot at finishing with an average over 50,000 for the second consecutive season. We need a good turnout on Saturday night.

I think Saturday will be a good turnout. 6pm last home game of the year against a ranked opponent from Oklahoma :smile2: let's hope for the best!

i forgot to mention after a night of heavy drinking... I was there (im a soph), but my friends showed up at the 2nd.

Ah we could bitch and moan all day about students and the alums. Let's agree we both suck:smile2: The students do not show up but are loud, the alums show up but are quieter. We need eachother that's for sure

11:30 start is too early. Of course I was there at 7a.m. waiting to get into Franklin Field but if you want a big turn out for early games its simple WIN!

I was definitely embarrassed to be apart of the "student body" this weekend. I was sitting with '87 and kept telling him, "have faith, they're coming". It did get a little better, but let me down.
