Re: Invesco open to Showdown

"We believe this game should be in Denver," Freeman said. "This is a celebration of two great universities. We would love to see it back."

You love it? Then show CU the money!

Re: Invesco open to Showdown

Oh **** invesco. Let them play wyoming there or something.

Re: Invesco open to Showdown

If the game was at Invesco next week I would not be traveling back to CO to watch it.

Re: Invesco open to Showdown

As long as Bohn can get me 6 games at Folsom every year, I look at the RMS game being at Invesco as a bonus.

To accomplish the home schedule, though, we're going to have to schedule some patsies (maybe 1-AA programs). We get 4 home Big 12 games every year. With 3 open non-conference dates, we can have 2 home-and-homes with quality programs but the 3rd game (if it's always at Folsom) is going to have to be a rent-a-win type game.

On second thought, maybe I'd rather play someone decent and alternate between 5 and 6 Folsom games a year. Or maybe I don't care.

Re: Invesco open to Showdown

This recent trend of moving college games to pro stadiums sucks the atmosphere right out of the game. College football games belong on the campuses, and this one is no exception.

Exactly that is why I have no problem playing this game at invesco when CSU is the home team. If it isn't going to be played on a campus I'd rather it be at invesco than Hughes.

Bingo. I already see enough games at Invesco every year. I don't really like that stadium.

Hey remember according to csu fans, if the game is not played at invesco then it doesn't count, so at least the game will count again in a couple years.

I'd rather this series just go way, its getting a little dull, but as long as we have 6 home games then its probably for the best to keep people happy and not pull the plug on CSU's program. I'd rather we replace the whole series with a home-and-home with air force, but can't have everything.

**** **** ****.

We had better get 6 home games per year. college football should be played on college campuses.

edit- k it sounds like we will get 6 home games.

Disappointing. I'm unclear how this is good for Colorado. Bringing folks into the flagship University in the Colorado higher educational system, and showcasing it on television is good for the state. Mcstadium in a bland urban environment is good for nobody, in my opinion. Oh well...:sad1:

I actually think this is good if we do indeed get 6 home games. Helps us get our average win per season to 7 or 8 wins. 6 home games a year (Hawks teams usually play well at home) plus an almost sure W over CSU at Invesco every year.

Bohn bends over. Good lord, another 10 years of csu and their whining.

:yeahthat:

This sucks ass. It's disappointing that he gives in to the political pressure in this series. And then the fact that the crybabies don't even want to play the game in their own stadium shows what they think of their own piece of **** campus and stadium.

I'm sure the financial details will be slow in coming, if they come out at all. Having said that, I know Bohn is a business first guy. I'd be surprised if this deal doesn't represent a pretty good financial incentive for CU to play it.

So we get more money, an easy win, and a game that we don't have to travel to see.

win-win-win as far as I'm concerned.

I like it!! 6 home games in Boulder, and then this one at Mile High is like another home game. I don't see what there is to not like about it. It is like basically getting an extra home game each year.
