There's lots of signs that the Wyoming game could very well decide the fate of Coach Hawkins.

If you knew for sure that he would get canned if CU loses to Wyoming do you hope for a Buff loss thinking that in the long run it would be for the better or will you root for a Buff win because a good fan always cheers on their team ?

I cheer for the team and the school. Cheering against my team to spite the coach is treason.

I always cheer for the Buffs, but I am worried that a solid win will just prolong the suffering. If the Buffs win I will be happy (happier than the last few weeks). If they lose, a firing will dull the pain.

I would interpret a solid, well coached and played win in this game as a good sign.

But it would shift the anxieties to the very next game, as in, "Was the great game against Wyoming just a fluke? Or is this for real?"

And then after a win against West Virginia, or at least an effort that garners compliments in a close loss, the worries would still re-emerge against Texas, Kansas and beyond.

That's just the reality of the season for any team but especially for a team experiencing huge disappointments at the very beginning of the season.

Go figure. This poll was created by a fusker. Now that's classy.

You exercised your right to free speech while attempting to deny others that right.

You must be a Democrat.

politics forum... BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I actually think that has become the AMERICAN WAY.... speak louder as to invalidate your opponants point... and shut them up...

seems pretty universal by all political parties...

You must be an Obama supporter.

Not in the least bit, but i'll keep politics out of the football forum....and I have no power to deny anything, so really I'm just exercising my right to free speech.....

I apologize.

It really was just a joke for laughs.

i know.... you havent been here long enough to know that political joks get snuffed out quickly because politics has the potential to get real testy pretty quickly...

I don't care.... dont take my posts seriously ever....

is the nice big lady still singing at the dive bar in downtown lincoln? I havent been there since 2002... u know, when a NU fan threw a bottle at our Fullback  on national TV?

That was a lady?

No, the only bar we go to on game day any more is the dusty little Zoo Bar on 14th Street.

what was the name of that bar? I forget... we went there every year from 1994-2002 (even years only)

the bar on O street that serves "elk piss" as a drink....i think is literally elk piss if you are wearing a Buff shirt...just an FYI for all

I'll be cheering for the Buffs.

If Hawk's going to fail, he's going to fail. My cheering isn't going to change anything and I may as well try to enjoy the game (and be able to look myself in the mirror afterward).

I'll be rooting for the buffs as usual. What won't be the same is instead of feeling complete frustration when seeing Cody at qb and 5'6'' walk on at wr and sumler at rb, I will instead feel comfort that at least it will result in the firing of juicebox.

I read a quote somewhere else where someone within the team said 'we'll try' in response to whether they can beat Wyoming or not. That says it all. I hope Dan & Misti have hired a realtor.

Wow, lot of short-sighted folks here... I always want what is best for the Buffs so if that is what it takes then so be it.

Problem is, this type of thing happened last week for me. When we didnt blow out Toledo, that was it for me.

Shanny! Shanny! Shanny! Shanny!

We should change the poll to: Would you hope for a loss if it meant Shanny would take over as HC in the next month or so?

I'd never go into the game rooting for Wyoming.....but

If it's at a point where the outcome is decided.....say if Wyo is already up 20 in the 4th qtr, let's just say I won't object if Wyo wants to pile it on.

At the very least, I'd hope their defense wouldn't allow us any BS cosmetic, garbage time touchdowns that might save Juice Box's job.

I can't root for the cowboys. Wyoming doesn't offer me much other than the underdog angle.

I will root for The U this year.
