I'm on the "Fire Hawkins" bandwagon now

What a lackluster performance. I thought this team would show emotion, given the circumstances. They showed none. Good to see Hawkins decry the offense as being "sloppy." But this effort was awful. If that is all Hawkins can give us, then fire him. We should have put 40 to 50+ on the rammies. I have NO hope for Cal and Georgia unless this offense makes MEGA improvements. The only hope is that, after we got the big lead, we did not want to show anything for next week.

Congrats to Dan Hawkins. He "improved" his record to 17-33.. Maybe we should extend him now DBT..

 Welcome to the club DBT. Glad you have seen the light. I agree with everything you said, and what about the god damn penalties??!!!! WTF! I think we won this game because we have better athletes and that's it.

Not real positive against Hawaii after the way they competed against SC either

I've been thinking about this a lot but wanted to wait for the season. Dan cannot and will not ever take this program to the promised land. He just is over his head. It would take a major upset of Cal for me to change my mind and I don't see that having a chance in hell of happening. A "good" team would have beaten csu by 40 minimum.

About F*ing time!!!!!
Welcome to the dark side of CU football.
Hawk can't get it done no matter how much time the school gives him.
Time for a change, regardless of what the results look like this year.

Yeah, i know. I just wanted to try and strike while the iron was hot.
Gotta plant those seeds sometime...
He'll be singing the praises of Hawk and Co. before the end of the week.

DBT will change his mind very quickly.

:finger2:

If we come out and beat Cal, I'd probably change my mind. But I don't see that happening. Our offense looked awful today.

And you know how we play on the road...
Hawk is a great WAC/MAC coach but he is over his head when he plays with the big boys.

CU controlled the game, but didn't dominate it, like they should have.
I think everyone here agrees with you. With the talent and experience CU has compared to the Lammies, it should have been more decisive.

We may have a better record than the Lammies this year but I still think you have a better coaching staff.

Who knows. Coaching staff isn't much good without sone playmakers. I can count CSU's good plays on my testicles. Pretty disappointing.

csu has some young guys with promise. given their youth, and our experience, and 2 nfl'ers on our ol, CU should have won by 40. they let up and they showed no killer instinct in the 2nd half. i hate that. plus, i still hate our freaking blocking schemes. that is not a design that will maul people.

on the plus side, th had a great game and proved he's the starter. speedy also showed again why he is so valuable to us-- he continues to get hit in the backfield and still make plays.

the d, in general, played pretty well, and i liked the schemes better on that side of the ball than last year, for sure.

the sheep are going to get better. if that is CU at the peak of a 5 year cycle under hawkins, then we are in trouble again this year. but, it was only the first game. i'll remain hopeful for big improvements. no way this team hangs with cal unless it gets a lot better in the next week.

Well, I don't want to "know". Seriously, who really, other that Ms. Lammief*ck, wants to "know". (Actually, I bet even she doesn't want to know...)

i think we should just let this topic die right here.

please. lets see what he has to say tomorrow once he sleeps on it and reads dannys comments in the paper. he will run right back home and give danny a big 'ol hug and kiss!

gonna be fun around here this week!

I honestly believe in the young men on this team. We have talent. Enough talent to beat most teams in the Big XII, I think. I believe Hawkins, Kiesau, and Johnson are not getting it done. We should have been able to exert our will on csu. While we did to some extent in the first half, we totally went in the tank in the second half. That is what pisses me off. We did not crush their throats. Our running game has GOT to bet better. Tyler has to get better. We played with absolutley no fire in the second half. That is on Hawkins, Kiesau and Johnson.

And WTF with all those penalties? I thought Hawkins had focused on stopping this ****.

This is Hawk's last year. He will not sniff 8 wins and I think we have the talent to win at least that many.
