Well blocked punt....called that in an earlier post... almost another kickoff return of 40+ yards... what else will happen tonight. Ill be sending resume Monday

Special teams is a ****ing joke, everything else looks solid. I'm beginning to wonder how much special teams has had to do with our lack of success in recent years... 30-50%?... I'm serious.

Why is this kid still kicking? His kicking has been terrible for the past 2 years.

I can't laugh... this game had such a chance to be good. I am actually showing emotion and pissed. **** Kent Riddle!

Special teams is awful but the offense isn't much better. We actually were headed for negative yards in the 2nd quarter until Speedy's draw play.

I have always liked our special teams under Hawkins. Don't know why everyone is so pissed.

We have to have the worst special teams in the country for the fourth year running. This game is likely 19-9 in the 3rd (or closer) if we had a kicking game that didn't kill us so much, so often.

I'll take the special teams coaching job, on performance based salary. Most importantly, get the job done with the same players!!!!!!!

Seriously like alot. Hell even this game is a ballgame at the half with just average special teams.

I'm with you, man. Consistently entertaining. I really feel like I'm getting my money's worth on special teams plays.

The best special teams coach in the World wouldn't make a bit of difference here. Hawkins doesn't give a sh*t about special teams. He doesn't devote enough time to it in practice. He doesn't allow them to work on their game. You only have so much time in practice. If 90% of it is used on non-special teams drills, how much success do you honestly think you'll have in special teams?

Riddle may suck as a special teams coach. Hell, he probably does. But this falls at the feet of Dan Hawkins.

Special teams, defense, hell, offense (for the inevitable turnovers)... everyone should spend an entire practice just learning how to tackle.

There's something very odd regarding the kicking situation. Literally no other program in college football would have put up with Goodman's inabilities for three years. It's hard to believe that no one...Castor, Kirkwood...anyone, didn't outperform Goodman in spring or fall practices. We'll see what Castor can do -- wasn't the best start, but I think he can become a reliable one for us.

Let me let you guys in on a little secret: In 2006, Wyoming played at Virginia. The game went into overtime at 6-6. Virginia scored in OT, to make it 13-6. Wyoming answered with a TD....but, Aric Goodman (freshman) trotted on to the field and missed the extra point!!
