Looks really raw. Not very sudden out of his stance. He brings some speed but false-steps & looks like he lacks instincts at this time. I think he has some strong hands and can hold the point which bodes well for him being 6'4", only 222lbs. Not very good pass rushing technique. I love the way he breaks down but mentally needs to move quicker.

This guy looks like a project. You can see some glimmers of football skill in there but he's going to need to be redshirted and coached up like crazy. What we have is a frame, which can run pretty well. Now they need to stack weight on him, teach technique and get him some in-game reps. It will be interesting to see what type of senior year he has.

You can teach technique but you can't coach size. Looks like a pretty good prospect albeit it would be a project.

I agree. More in-roads to the state of Texas which is positive. You have to start somewhere. Our approach looks just like Mizzou when Pinkel started. Keep putting those blocks in place. Start with the ** & *** and work your way up to bigger prizes.

I'd like him to come to CU, because if after that redshirt year it doesn't look like he'll contribue at DE they can spend the next spring and summer converting him to FB. Beast.

"I heard Colorado is a beautiful place. Boulder is a good town and they definitely have a great fan base. They are now in the Pac-12 going up against teams like USC and UCLA. … If I went to Colorado, I would be able to have a great education while also enjoying myself playing big time college football. It is definitely one of my top schools."

Iowa State, New Mexico, Army, Texas State and Jackson State have also offered Irokansi a scholarship. Baylor, Oklahoma State and TCU are other colleges showing interest.

Says Baylor is his dream school though.

Thanks, CBUFF. I edited my earlier post to include the correct highlights that you found. Rep sent.

We are looking good here. Maybe sooner than later. Nik, notice the new offers:
Army, Colorado, Iowa State, Jackson State, New Mexico, Southeast Louisiana, Texas-San Antonio, Texas State

Also, the more I see this, the more I am reminded of Mizzou's clawing themselves into respectability. This is the kind of player that they took and developed out of texas.

Commitment to the Buffs is being reported. He's still a little bit of a project but I love his size, speed, frame, and that he's from Texas. I don't think this commitment is written in ink. I think he committed because CU has said they are taking 2-3 DE's and he wanted to ensure his spot with us. It makes me think that there are a few other recruits that are close to committing. I'm thinking the kid from Louisiana might be close as well.

Say what you want about the recruits, I love getting our DL from the the South. They play a different brand of ball down there.

Who is reporting this?

I see some flashes of a decent prospect in the highlight video. Not sure this is the best sign for DE recruiting overall though.

whoooooohoooo! Welcome!!

Now get out there and start killing some quarterbacks (for training purposes)

It's always special to see the Buffs get commits from this area code, in any sport. Longing for the days when we pull ones who have offers from certain area schools too. Welcome Victor!
