CU officially hires Mel Tucker as new Head Football Coach

At the time, they were the hot names. Turned out to be ****, but they were considered good hires at the time.

Save for '16 I don't have much of an argument for the past 12 years. She at least acknowledges the shared past ****ty seasons experience. She was there when the school was good though, as I was at CU when it was good (97-01). The fact that I was so entertained reading their flight tracker thread is unfortunate, but think at the time I was hoping CU would swoop in and steal Les from them.
Nah man.

As Regent, I will:

Build up our students, not our stadiums. The recent football stadium renovation and expansion has cost nearly $160-million, which is more than what the university spent on financial aid across all four campuses last year."

One thing that I have always felt is that the UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO can technically mean the (SYSTEM) more than just the great campus in Boulder. That is where we play football, and it is the mother ship, but we have 4 total campuses, a few of which, specifically Colorado Springs are booming and growing like crazy and there are so many amazing programs at all the campuses that the Regents can be proud of the whole system. The Football Program is all of ours to celebrate and partake in, and deserves every dollar it needs, while not taking anything away from the rest of the system. These type of Regents must understand the totality of their responsibility! I want all CU students and alums to be brilliant, but a balanced life is what makes us all great.

@Buffnik had posted this yesterday and been scrutinized, but is the entourage really coming from Atlanta vs. Athens ?!?!

I live in his district and will run against him when he's up next time if I get an official endorsement from allbuffs.

Please, please do run against him. Do what needs to be done to beat him. If that means Russian collusion, then so be it!

What many don't understand at CU, is that the football program is the most effective means of promoting the CU system to a National audience. This is very important, especially when the flagship University is so incredibly reliant on out-of-state tuition monies. It also engages the alumni, many of which are also out of state. The program needs to be viewed more as an investment that can generate very healthy returns across the entire CU system.

When living in Texas, I was amazed at how alumni from UTEP, UT Pan Am, UT San Antonio, etc all embraced the Longhorns as THEIR team. The footprint was statewide. The goal at CU should be the same level of notoriety across the state, on a smaller scale.

Another reason to not play CSU at all. As long as that game is on the schedule, I don't think the Buffaloes becoming the state's team ever happens.

Time to usher in a new era for the Buffs. Time for HCMT to bring some accountability to these weak mother ****ers in boulder. How cool would it be if he brought the SEC identity to CU and we just smash mouth the rest of these pussy ass teams in our conference.
