If the "reported" time is Eastern, then it's a bit more understandable since that would be 2:30 pm on the other coast. He'd still be in hs, etc., and that's a pretty common place for this to happen. If the announce time is Pacific, then this makes no sense at all even considering possible espin coverage.
6:30 Eastern = 3:30 Pacific

There's a pretty good chance that we'll find out from sources that he has faxed his LOI in earlier in the day (to CU or elsewhere). Unfortunately, if we get that info we'll have to post it in the Barzil AB member area out of respect for Jacobs not wanting to make his decision public until his announcement party.
Allbuffs upsell. I had to laugh this week because my renewal is up, therefore my AB anniversary (like many others I'm sure) is on or around signing day.
Remember kids, if you want to have a peaceful dinner, you gotta be a paying member of Allbuffs.

If I was a CU commit and I wanted to have some fun with my future fan base I would list it like that too.
I would do that just to get people to send me more hats!
Then again, why would I want a UCLA, Razorback or OkieLite hat?
I guess I should ask of all you wise AllBuffers - where do commits get the hats for NLOI day? Do the recruits have to provide those themselves?
