    From August 18th:

6’10 Australian forward Harry Froling has narrowed his potential college choice to ten schools, with Wake Forest securing an official visit from the big-man, per a source.

Also on Froling’s list, in no particular order, are Oregon, Oregon St, Boise St, Colorado, Kansas St, Miami, SMU, Creighton and Illinois.

Froling has been a scholarship holder at the Centre of Excellence (AIS) program over the past two years, and was also named our MVP of this year’s U18 Australian Junior Championship, averaging 22.4 ppg, 14.1 rpg, 3.6 apg, leading his Queensland North side to a third place finish.

Froling has great hands and constantly finds himself around the ball on offense and in rebounding situations. He has a solid frame and is supremely skilled for his size. Froling dominated the 2015 U18 Australian Junior Championships and then was amazingly left off the U19 Australian team. Froling’s skills for his size is a rare combination.

He is an effective stretch four, but his passing is by far his best skill. Froling has come a long way over the past 24 months, and has matured emotionally and is now a player who can be relied upon to produce for his team every night.

Will Nate's experience at CU and with Tad help us here?

This would be beyond huge. I'm not even going to get my hopes up for this one.

Going from Queensland to Illinois in January is going to be a rude awakening!

RG should have an Aussie appreciation night when this guy visits and get all the hot Aussie lift operators from the mountains in Boulder that night/weekend.

None of the other schools he is visiting are built around a player as similar to him as Josh Scott. Tomlinson & SHT might be helpful but there's nothing like seeing an older version of yourself as the focal point of the program.

I think his game is going to end up being more similar to Dufault, but more of a natural big whereas Dufault had to learn to play inside to defend and rebound against bigs after he got to college. J40 is a pure old school post guy who has been developing his outside game since coming to college. Would be the opposite with Froling.

Froling is going to see what J40 is now, which is a below the basket big with identical size who can stretch the floor & is the centerpiece. He won't see J40 as a frosh & he certainly won't see Dufault.

I'm strictly talking about what Froling will see. If you're trying to compare his game most accurately to another player then that player likely never played for CU.

That makes some sense. I bring up Dufault, though, because Nate seems to be in this kid's ear and that's the type of setup he won Pac-12 title with.

If Nate is a factor in him coming here, the Nate hate will have to abate.

Don't worry. I get it. He will too after he thinks about it for a while.

It should have abated after he single-handedly bailed the team out of a craptastic performance in that road game at Air Force.

I haven't. Usually that means that the guy doesn't play any. But with Tad, Miller and Brown recruiting him I think it's safe to assume he's willing to mix it up on the defensive end.

Looks like he'll be in town this weekend, perhaps his visit includes the game vs. the ducks.

His twin sisters both play basketball for SMU. Dangit!

Tad needs a full court press on him. Signing this kid I think is very important to this program because there aren't many 4 star big men left for 2016 and the front court will be very thin when Scott leaves, and then Gordon a year later.
