Lindsey was at Bishop Gorman through his junior year. He is really tight with all of the Vegas guys CU has been offering lately. Chev is the CU recruiter here with Edsall providing support.

He's about as highly rated as it is possible to be without being a 5*.

I would think the only way we get a serious look from him is if Martell gives us a serious look. They seem to be very close, as both were potentially aTm bound prior to that mess.

Hopefully CU can make him reconsider this.

Lindsey said his main 2 things he's looking for in a college are a spread offense and an education that sets him up for a career in broadcast journalism. LINK

CU has a very strong message here.

Offense was a spread before and is now melding elements of TTU's Air Raid into it.

Broadcast journalism? The 2 lead guys for broadcasting the sport -- ESPN's Chris Fowler and FoxSports's Joel Klatt -- are CU grads. Then there's Jim Gray, Kate Fagan, Rick Reilly and a host of former athletes with careers in broadcasting (Kordell Stewart, Alfred Williams, Chad Brown, Jeremy Bloom, Solomon Wilcots... the list goes on and on).

If Tate Martell is interested in CU and wants to bring Lindsey along, I have to think that Chev can make this slam dunk case to Lindsey.

So is this a situation where Plati might actually help?

I should have also included Alanna Rizzo in my list of broadcasters since Lindsey is in LA now. She does a great job with the Dodgers.

I don't understand the significance of it? At least as it pertains to CU.

I think it makes Ohio State more likely since he and Martell are together again. I don't think CU has a legit chance at this sig.

Gotta admit, Ohio State will be fun to watch with those two, also got 5-star WR Trevon Grimes.

Harbaugh vs Meyer both building juggernauts. Big 10 title will run through the UM vs OSU game for years to come.

They've surprisingly recruited pretty well since then, they got Kellen Mond who is generally considered #2 or #3 in terms of 2017 Dual Threat QBs. Got a couple highly rated receivers as well. Kids forget things quick I guess.

This is strange. Not sure where he's looking (Biggins mentioned Nubs) but would love to go after him.

Yeah, his recruitment basically came down to his friends going to Ohio State and Nebraska's DUI coach. Supposedly, he didn't like the Kevin Wilson hire from Ohio State and has been having second thoughts ever since.

"In terms of the scheme at Ohio State, I would have been more of a situational player. I would play some in the backfield, some in the slot, some at receiver and basically move around to take advantage of mismatches but I don't think I would have developed as well as a receiver being used that way.
"A perfect example is what happened with DeAnthony Thomas. That's a guy I'm close to and we play a lot alike. At Oregon, he was that situational guy, moved around a lot and had success but when he got to the NFL, he didn't really have a position. He's now playing receiver and has to basically start from scratch in how to play and how to run routes. But guess who's training him, who he picked to teach him how to run routes in the off-season and learn the position, Coach Williams."

DUI coach doing a damn good job of counter-recruiting lol.

That right there is called good recruiting. Urban was prolly like, "how about you focus on getting to the league first, kid."
