Not too suprising

On svp & russillo today they were talking about how that number might've been leaked by Harbaugh himself, that he did the same thing before he got the niners gig.

Addazio extended at BC, so he is likely out of the UM sweepstakes.

Harbaugh, Mullen and Golden still being thrown around as possible names, but who knows.

Heard a rumor that CSU would have their decision on Monday

The number of names and interviews that have been linked seems to indicate a process being run by someone who isn't working within his wheelhouse. They may end up making a great hire, but it's been an unusual process.

Most of the names coming out of it tend to highlight that CSU is going with a P5 coordinator. Lots of the names coming out seem great, frankly, but there are a few clunkers mixed in there as well.

Versus interviewing 1 guy and then offering him the job?

Versus having a plan in place, a short list after behind-the-scenes vetting, and maybe not a single interview ever becoming public knowledge. That's much more then norm.

The beauty of it is that some of the clunkers may be great, and some of the great names may be clunkers.

Well, agents love to leak their guy is getting looks or is looking. Even when he isn't getting either. Cause it generates a raise.

Also, I don't think many ADs have lists anymore. The job is much more a marketing budget and operations job today than it was 20 years ago. Further, how the hell can make a list and keep it up to date? You have to talk to those guys and get to know them. I guess you could attend the coaches conference. I dunno.

New post from Adam Schefter on Jim Harbaugh

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/1...co-49ers-coach-jim-harbaugh-torn-michigan-nfl

Basically says friends and family are telling Harbaugh he should go to Michigan. His dad is in favor of it because him and the interim AD, Hackett, go way back.

Harbaugh himself is leaning towards staying in the NFL, but wants to see what his options would be first. Decision will likely come at the end of the month after the last game.

And here's a random source, Marcellus Wiley says Harbaugh's taking the job

He's sending in The Wolf?

Here is an interesting tidbit...candidates for the UH job included Muschamp and....wait for it, Sonny Dykes, per Houston Chronicle. Could Dykes be looking to leave Berkeley?

Wiley and Harbaugh know each other from San Diego

From phone

I think it's pretty likely at this point. I think Harbaugh, like Saban, needs total control. That will always be difficult to attain in the NFL. I think for a franchise to change his mind, they'd have to tell him he's got free reign.

Would love to see it. Decent chance he poaches a coach or two from the trees if he goes there. Anything to knock them down a notch or two.
