I'd like to point out 42% of Spruce's TD's and 35% of his yardage came from 25% of his games, all of which were against non P12 opponents. Love the guy's play, he is a pretty good WR, but he wasn't the game breaker he looked like against CU's OOC schedule. My point isn't that Spruce isn't good, he is. He is a marvelous possession WR and probably will play at the next level, but he DESPERATELY needs a "1" WR a la Paul Richardson. Is Fields it? Dunno. Is there anybody other than Fields? Maybe Bobo. While the WR corps (not core, you illiterates) is a CU strength, the above demonstrates, I think, just how far behind talent wise CU is as far as numbers and depth go compared to their peers.
