I wonder if he'll play or if he just wants to retire as a Piston.

I wonder if he is going to have a choice. Chauncey loves the game and wants to play but at his age recovering from the injuries he has dealt with isn't something I would count on.

NBA is a young mans game. I'd hate to see Chauncey keep hanging on after he no longer can resemble the Chauncey we all think about.
 
he did sign a two year deal so i'm guessing its to play and not just retire
 
According to Rotoworld, Cope just had minor knee surgery, but should be back playing in a couple months.
