Shurmur during his time in the NFL has always been at best an okay coordinator. It is hard to gauge if him getting play calling duties means anything with SS appearing off due to an apparent injury. With how poor the offense has been the Buffs are lucky to be down by only two touchdowns.
Are all the club members just mad from years of suck or just some of them?
Yeah, he has A LOT of growing to do as a head coach.
If a run play gets you 8 yards, why not run it again and again? 30 years of football and I ask that every time.
I know two playcallers who used to do that:

It's been awhile. First half Stanford. He had a hell of a half but since then, been rough ****. UCLA was turnover that really kept it close.
Coach gotta adjust in terms of game management. Things that he can control.
And now the defense begins to falter
