Definitely improvement. Lewis is 1/2 for 9 yards and a -9 sack on 3 pass attempts. Even better than last week's improvement that KD praised in his presser. At this rate, we may have an offense that crosses midfield multiple times in a half at some point this year.
We need to see Carter before half. Lewis just doesn’t have it.
After watching this year, i think they forgot that section of the playbook.
OSU ran for over 300 yards against USC last week. I think it was reasonable to try not to get cute with the run game to see what we could do going hat-on-hat. The problem is the result we saw.
Horse collar is only if you get inside the pads. It looked like he just had the jersey.

The o lineman pulled him forward. I love when that happens and the TV guy says "great extra effort".
There are a couple things recently invented by progressive offensive coordinators. Pre-snap motion to shift defenses & identify man or zone coverage + play action (faked handoff) prior to the QB throwing to freeze LBs and safeties or even catch a cornerback flat footed.
This type of offensive creativity hasn't made its way to Boulder yet.
CBs look good. Bring LBs. Lamb and Barnes. Nate, no so much.Zero pressure. Zero.
Strategy appears to be to keep our O off the field as much as possible. Hope for FG attempt, which might be our best chance to get a defensive score.
