Confessions of a Mad Buff Fan.

-I was at a Madden 12 tournament last night and in my first game there were two CSU Xbox controllers, I requested to be moved to a different TV with different controllers.

-One of my co-workers has the best stapler ever. But i refuse to use it because it has a CSU sticker on it. So i guess its the worst stapler ever. But it used to be great.

-I have considered getting "The Pride and Tradition of the Colorado Buffaloes will not be Entrusted to the Timid or the Weak" Tatted on me somewhere

tough to compete with the awesome stories told so far.... my meager contribution:

went to my daughter's freshman year parent's weekend (2009) at her fancy ass eastern private college. "watched" the entire CU/aTm game on my blackberry during the festivities -- refreshing the ESPN gametracker every 30 seconds. wife and daughter quite pissed. worth it, though, as CU pulled out a win....

watching entire games on gametracker is a cosmic experience.

Your story definitely qualifies...

Only the timid or the weak would not get that tat now that it has been stated in a public forum. Better pm 'Leash.

This got me thinking... I have the perfect location in my office to have it painted. Though the tat does seem much more appropriate and definitely more hard core.

It's time I finally came clean.

Forgive my Father, for I have sinned.
It was November, 2005 and I was on my first Vegas trip ever. And inexplicably, I was not winning. I needed a win, and I needed it bad. I was planning on watching the CU/ISU game at a sportsbook. We were ranked and favored but in my mind, we were over rated. The devil on my shoulder convinced me to take the points and bet ISU. I think in the back of my mind, I thought I was covering all my bases because I was rooting for the Buffs and if we won, great. But if we lost, I'd still win. The game was a debacle. We lose by 2 TDs and I slink to the cage to collect my winnings (which I'm sure I dropped at the nearest craps table). After that game, we backed into the Big 12 title game and got bitchslapped by UT, leading to 5 years in the desert with Hawk. I'm fearful that my wager was the trigger for our downfall.

It's time for me to atone for my sins. My friend (who I was with in Vegas that November) is in Vegas this weekend. I gave him money to bet on the Buffs this weekend. I told him that I don't care what the line is (but get me as many points as you can!). This is about making a statement and righting a wrong. I have never bet against us before and I never will again. AMEN!

GO BUFFS!

Speechless.

Let this be a lesson to all of you. Buff karma is a powerful thing. Spiff's actions brought a tornado into Ames and Dan Hawkins into Boulder.

Hey, I'm not proud of what I did. But I've taken steps to right a terrible wrong. So after we win on Saturday night (or a week ago, last Thursday in your time zone) you can all rep the hell out of me for being the catalyst.

I'll rep you if we win, and this whole ugly incident is behind us.

Wainaminit. What specifically did you do to right the wrong of 5 years ago. All I see is a confession - no money on the Buffs this week or anything last fall that hastened D-II's dismissal.

You obviously DID something to cause the Buffs to spiral down for 5 years - what tangible have you done NOW to start the new era and thus deserve rep?

Go back and re-read my initial post. As karma would have it, my friend (the same one that I was with in 2005) is in Vegas as we speak. I gave him money to bet on the Buffs this weekend, for the sole purpose of redeeming myself (and winning some easy money!). I've broken the chain! All will once again be right with the world!

Besides, you should be repping me once a day, every day, for telling you about AllBuffs in the first place. Then again, it might be negated by others here who would be neg repping me for the same reason....:smile2:

Now we know who to blame!
