The one that would have been the truth all along if CU leadership hadn't aligned its decision making and trajectory with Blockbuster. Sure, it was amazing for a while - their first store and the crazy risk on HCBM's extension happened at the same time. But it turned out to be a mistake to model ourselves on Blockbuster after 1994 (their peak value & Mac's retirement year).
Well he has been around for a long time and has never been a coordinator. His resume is better than most but it’s definitely not a sure thing

Alford has wanted to come “home” for awhile now. Was passed up when Addazio was hired at CSU. Lights out recruiter. Ranked best in the country a couple years ago by his peers. Would be a home run hire and brings that Colorado (state) connection that seems so important to many. Plus, he might be the perfect HC in waiting for those concerned about a short tenure for our this present HC hire.
Let's hope he's a decent offensive coordinator if he comes here.
