It would not surprise me if Boulder folks decided that fireworks are noise pollution which represents animal cruelty rather than the real concern being wildfires.

My dad’s house was in west Denver. Before we sold his house, the 4th of July fireworks were as good as anything in town. The problem was they would go on 3 days prior and then on the 4th itself, they would go for hours. It was so bad we had to go to a hotel for the night. The shrapnel in the yard the next day was amazing. I don’t miss that.
And New Mexico top in the Mountain West and second for FCS(?) to Princeton

If anyone knows Ultimate Team Player with High Character, it’s Urban Meyer.
Within the narrow definition of "team player meaning going above and beyond to do what the HC wants" and "character meaning football character of being a guy coaches and players trust to do your job and hold others accountable"... Urban Meyer is pretty elite. You can be these things to be an elite football operation while still being a bunch of criminals and sleazebags.
Great. This seems like the sort of thing you crow about when you cannot win football games.
Also, there's a limit to how well CU can rank because baseball (with football & basketball) is one of the three sports that are automatically in the Cup calculations. So CU actually did better than it appears since our points include a zero that others don't have.

2025-26 gonna be a much worse showing with the football team going from 9 wins to 3.
The G6 and HBCUs are the only D1 members that would rightly be called "FBS" since they're the only ones focused on making a bowl game for their postseason (though 1 G6 team will get a token playoff invite). P4 and D1-AA (other than HBCU) are about making a championship playoff.
Can we go back to 1A and 1AA since FBS and FCS no longer make any sense?

I like Rick on a personal level....he was great to me a few years ago when my daughter visited campus to assist in her final college decision (between CU and UCSB). Rick had us both in his office, and he was recruiting my kid to come to CU (she ultimately chose UCSB...duh!). But Rick was overly generous to take his time for a kid not playing sports.
Anyway, my point is that Lovo needs to establish his own presence and influence with the donors without having Rick in tow. Perhaps Rick makes the introduction and leaves (maybe that is the reality...).
