Games thread - #5/7 WOMEN'S bball on the road to face Arizona (Fri.,1/5/24, 6:00 PM MT; P-12 Net.) & ASU (Sunday, noon MT; P-12 Net.)

As with the men, women's basketball (#5 in the AP Media and #7 in the coaches' polls; 11-1 overall; 1-0 in Pac play) this weekend is heading to the desert for its 1st road trip of the conference season as they journey to Arizona for the last time as Pac 12 members. 1st off is a Friday evening game with the Arizona Wildcats (9-4, 1-0), followed up by a Sunday noon matinee in Tempe against the ASU Sun Devils (8-5, 0-1).

Both games are scheduled to be on one or more Pac 12 Network channels. (Further info and links for media options available near the bottom of this post.)

Note- In the NET Rankngs as I type this (for games through 1/2/24), the Buffs are at #20, while the Wildcats are #45 and Sun Devils #140.

Vs. Arizona - Game is scheduled to be shown on the Pac 12 National and Mountain channels. I don't get the #20 net rating. Beat #16 LSU and #4 Utah. Actually dropped from #19 to #20 after beating #4 net rating Utah????

Other than the wins over LSU & Utah the majority of the victorys this season have come against teams with relatively low NET rankings. I believe CU's current ranking in the polls is largely due to the LSU win. Remember the Buffs got blasted by #3 NCSU on a neutral court and that is a baseline that will make it difficult to rise in the polls unless they beat UCLA, USC, Stanford, etc.

I am not convinced CU is a top 10 team, but as I have stated before, in Pac 12 play they will have plenty of opportunity to prove themselves.

too many AFA and Lemoyne games that drag down the net. You would think it would go up but the net is a interesting thing. Does not really mean anything till the end of the year
 
On the road . . . let's hope that Quay Miller and Frida Formann get their offensive games back. It was really something that they beat Utah without those two contributing on the offensive end.

No they fly commercial. I flew back with the Buffs mens team on Frontier after the season opener in Dallas in 2013. Guessing football charters though.
 
Everything about Arizona basketball mens and womens is killing my blood pressure, fuuk all of them
Pac12 refs must not get rehired anywhere
